I've searched and read up on the ASGI G4 series on the forums. I'm bout to order a G4 custom, but I'm stuck between the G4-18 carbine and G4-A5 Dune Knight. I want to use the gun for field only. I'm not sure in how long the G4-A5 is? I'm also confused in what does ASGI do to the gun beside the custom body and rails? Also what would it take to change the stock spring out to a slightly stiffer spring. G4-18 Carbine: www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5995G4-A5 Dune Knight: www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6939Thank you, Sparky

The G4-A5 probably has a 14.5" barrel, but as for overall length I'm guessing 35" with the stock extended. ASGI just removes the triangle front sight, rewires the gun to the back, adds a Tango Down style pistol grip, add a rear sling mount, and they put on a dust cover that says "Infidel" in English and Arabic. Replacing the spring would mean that you have to crack open your gearbox.

They're basically identical guns, just different rail systems and different back up iron sights. Otherwise, they're the same internally, they're the same length, they even both have the same pistol grip upgrade. The major difference between them is that one is in stock (so, definitely available) and the other is out of stock (so, may never come back in). That there tells me which one you should get.
