I'm thinking about selling my gun, not because I don't like it, it's because it has some internal problem and I don't have the experience to diagnose it or fix it. I'm wondering how much someone would be willing to pay for a gun that doesn't work with an unknown problem I really need the money so I can buy something more reliable like a G&G. I've been trying to fix it for a couple months and I've learned a lot but quite frankly I'm tired of treading in what I don't know and can't figure out, and just want to get a gun that won't give me any problems. If end-up selling it I'd give you the the stock battery, two hi-caps, and a mid cap. The right side selector is missing because it was defective when I got it. I want to keep playing airsoft but I need a gun that works to do that. I'm making this thread to gauge the interest and what I could get out of it, not as a "I'm definitely selling this gun" thread that's why it isn't in commerce.

What's going wrong with it? Maybe some of us could be some help in repairs, thus leading to a higher selling price.

That's just the thing I'm not sure. After opening it up for the first I immediately checked the teeth on the piston and the gears but there was only minimal wear on both of them as far as I could tell. Not really sure what else could be causing my problems.

I mean what is functioning improperly with the gun? Misfiring? Compression issues? Locked up gearbox? Most of the tech savvy guys here can diagnose issues by just knowing what is malfunctioning on the AEG.

Locked up gearbox is what I guess you would call it.

Any specific noises that it's making, if any at all? I don't really have much tech experience myself, but a quick search on Google found that the most common problem with a locked up gearbox is either a broken/improperly placed anti reversal latch.

The gears could also be over shimmed.

A locked up gear box can be anything from a dead battery, blown fuse, bad shimming, dead motor, bad electrical connection, broken gears, etc.
Before we can make an attempt to help you, we need to know exactly what the AEG is doing to help rule some things out. When you plug the battery in does the AEG do anything? Does it click, get hot, just sit there? Have you checked the fuse? Tried other batteries. Feel free to write out a few paragraphs to give us an idea of what is going on. A one sentence post won't help much.
I doubt you will find anyone who will argue against selling it for a more reliable platform. The going rate of clones is pretty low right now so it might be in your best interest to have it diagnosed in person and repaired (depending on the issue). Then you can save up for your G&G and then sell the working E1 SCAR later.

Before I opened it up it was making a loud-ish whining noise now after taking it apart it either clicks, makes no noise, or a very quite one. The hand-grip gets hot after a a little while if it's the low noise whirring sound. I tested it with two different fully charged batteries so it's not that. I honestly don't know about the fuse, if any one could tell me how to check that it would be helpful. I may have put the anti-reversal latch in improperly when i put back together so I'll check that when I re-open it. If you can think of areas I most likely made a mistake in when putting back together please tell me.

Why wouldn't you just take it to a tech to have them fix it? If it's not a major problem then you can get a heck of a lot more for a working gun than a broken one. Honestly if you aren't buying a higher end g&g the E1 could be just fine with a little work. Maybe when you have it in you could have it reshimed lubed and whatever parts are weak replaced, that and maybe a weaker spring for more longevity.
