I recently bought an airsoft gun from walmart for 100 dollars. Yeah, i know. Don't go to walmart. Blah blah blah.
Well, It shoots apparently up 300 fps. It keeps misfiring, shooting 2 bb's at once, and a lot of the time the bb's will fall extremely short from the target.
So, I have a few questions. How can I fix this? What can I buy to upgrade the fps and actually make it decent? And is there any god damn airsoft stores around the flint michigan area?!

drama, we do not allow bumping of posts outside of the commerce section. Also, do not bump threads (only in the commerce section) more than once in 24 hours. If someone has an answer to your question, they will post it. Thanks. I did some quick looking around and I came across these clear bodied pictures. This appears to be the same model you have. Looking closely at the pistol grip it appears that it is not Tokyo Marui spec. That basically means everything inside is proprietary and cannot be replaced by any common aftermarket parts. The reason we say not to buy airsoft guns from places like Walmart is that most of the time they are low quality and cannot use common upgrade or replacement parts. When they break or have problems, chances are you are SOL. I would try and see if you can return it to the store, or try to have it exchanged. If you can return it there are much better AEG's out there for not much more money. What kind of BB's are you using? If you are using low grade .12's or .20's they may have seams that are jamming in the hop up. Possibly try high quality ammo. Outside of that I don't know how your LPEG internals work, so I can't give you much advice. Take a look here to find out if there is a retailer near you. If not, there are plenty of stateside retailers that offer great service. My personal preference stateside is Airsoft Atlanta, or secondly Airsoft GI (they are kind of slow to process and ship). If you are willing to shop over seas, Redwolf Airsoft is amazingly fast, and Ehobby Asia is also new player friendly. There are plenty of other retailers out there, those are just the ones I prefer because they are reliable, fast, and have easy to use websites.

Look at the G&G affordable series, available from www.airsoftgi.com and other stores for somewhere in the $140-$170 price range, depending on model. Ignore the blowback models entirely, buy a battery from www.eliteairsoftbatteries.com or some R/C or Hobby store. Buy an 8 pack of MAG mags and some high quality .25g bbs. [edit] Also, stop looking at Craigslist for guns, you're only going to find pain and misery. If you want to buy used, stick to dedicated hobbyist sites like MiA, Airsoft Ohio, Arnie's Aisroft, Airsoft Forum, Airsoft Retreat, Airsoft Society, etc. These types of places tend to be very good at filtering out the shit guns just by being places where real enthusiasts, and not just guys who buy the first AEG they see, sell guns.

I definitely recommend the G&G affordable series M4's. I've seen two of them in action personally, and they are QUITE good for the money. They have robust polymer frames, the FPS and range allows you to be competitive, and its G&G so you can expect some amount of reliability.
