AFO Wolfpack would come out for that ;D
We're a Flint based team that consistently brings anywhere from 8-12 people to each event we go to. If you open a good cqb facility in the area, you'll be seeing a lot of us.

Brotato- My guess would be a few months from now. I'm still weighing the cost margin compared to the profit. I have much interest, but not quite enough to "go for broke". @ Sniper Wolf- I really hope this happen in order to provide an airsoft facility to the Genesee county. That would be awesome to see your team there as a regular customer.

As flint is fairly smack dab in the middle for location wise for a lot of us immortal guys, I'm sure you'd see quite a few of us out there! You peaked my interest. Keep us informed if you would please!

How the heck did I miss this thread?
Like Grimm said I'm sure a CQB facility in Flint would see a lot of attention from the Immortal guys. This of course includes myself.

As you can tell by the title of this thread, it would only apply too the people of the mid Michigan area that are interested in a CQB field. We are aware that we might not get a lot of business form the outer areas, but this thread is for the airsofters of the mid Michigan. See "image 1." If you do not reside within the shaded area, this thread need not apply to you. Image 1: The point of having a CQB field in said shaded area is for the members of the shaded area can have a cost-effective, in an area with a lot of potential for devoted airsoft players. We are not taking much of anything from you, because if your games are good they would stand on their own without a territorial monopoly. Yes there would be a third CQB field, but there would be one right in the middle, creating more players to come out to games. We can argue semantics all day but here are the numbers: From Grand rapids to Detroit it is approximately 320 miles there and back. From Flint to Detroit it is approximately 240 miles there and back. Here is the math: if gas is $3.30/gal and your vehicle gets 20mpg (if you're lucky.) From G.R. to Det. it is roughly $52.80 just in gas. From Flint to Det. $39.80 also just gas. Again this is not including anything else for example, bbs, food, misc. Carpooling does not eliminate the high price tag. From the facts that I have shown, I have proven that it wouldn't be idea to have a CQB field in mid Michigan. If you do not agree, please provide reasons. I would love to hear it.

Grimm and Doom, I might be moving out of the Flint area. So, I have to put the idea on hold. When I figure out if I'm staying in there area, I'll let you know what I come up with.

Honestly I believe the best area for a cab facility would be the sse-se area of michigan most of the cqb places are in the nse area. In the lower south east you could also pull Ohio players. The mid Michigan area has enough fields if they are spread more evenly across the state there would be more dedicated people to each one.

I know quite a few people who would love a place to play that's closer to Flint.

This is my opinion and mine alone. For a good CQB field, I wouldn't be willing to drive to flint. For a good outdoor field, I would be. I think you can do a lot more at an outdoor field, and a lot less can go wrong. So that's where I would look to invest. But again, that's just my view on it. ^ That. ^ This

From the facts that I have shown, I have proven that it wouldn't be idea to have a CQB field in mid Michigan. If you do not agree, please provide reasons. More like, "from the facts that I have shown, people living a good distance from anywhere will cost money to commute." Your list of facts take no account the number of players in and near the area of Flint. You merely just said, "wow this costs a lot of money for people in these two cities to drive there". On the flip, it takes the people in that area all that money to get to Grand Rapids and Detroit. Does that stop us? Sometimes... but not all the time. On to the main subject, this is a CQB field. CQB field's tend to get the crowd in their greater area. From this thread alone there is a tally of roughly 40 people that would go to the Flint field. That sounds good and may very well be a good indicator. I would more bring up safety issues in Flint as a possible deterrent to setting it up. I know hylander mentioned it should have some really cheap land, but I wonder if you could find some good deals in neighboring cities? Grand Blanc, Fenton, etc.

Not to mention not all customers are going to be on MIA. You will also see walk-ins as well.

Think about it like this: There are fields on the East side and fields on the West side. If there was a field smack-dab in the middle, it would make more diversity with fields, more options to choose from and be more cost effective in gas for those players. Would there necessarily be A LOT of players? Perhaps not, but you dont need 50 people at a CQB game to make it fun since it is close quarters.
