Well I may be acquiring a TM tac master m9, and I'm curious if propane would be safe, I have heard different things. It has a plastic slide, which is making me hesitant to buying it. From my understanding it is highly not recommended for TM, kind of like using a high voltage 40c Lipo in a jg....

It's perfectly safe as long you maintain it.

Maintain as in silicon oil and cleaning? Not the changing internals often maintaining right? Sorry if that's a stupid question....I'm not very big on gbb's.

It should be fine. It might wear out faster than it would if you used 134a (duster gas), but realistically not by much. People have been using propane in TM's for years.

That's good to hear, thanks guys.
Anyone know where I can get a cheap m9 slide? There's one on evike that is out of stock, but its comes with EVERYTHING inside the slide, and all I really need would be a slide itself. Any other parts I should reinforce if I happen to go that route?

Guarder offers a great selection of high quality aluminum slide and body kits. It's also fully compatible with WE and KJW parts since they are pretty much Tokyo Marui clones. eHobbyAsia has a bunch of them, additionally you can also contact Guarder directly. I hope this helps, and enjoy your TM M9! It sure is a beauty, I'd get one but no money to spend on airsoft.
