Ooohhhhh baby, this gun is nice! It just arrived yesterday from DEN, only taking 3 days to get to me from Hong Kong. I'm sure you guys mostly want to see pics, so here's a few to start off:

The gun feels great to hold, and aims very easily. For my hands, the P99 is one of the most comfortable pistols to shoot; it's formed just perfectly so that your hands naturally hold it correctly, and all the control areas are easily reached with a minimum of shifting. The lower frame itself is Olive Drab, which I think looks nice contrasted with the blackish grey slide. The frame feels very solid, and has glass fibers in it to give it an even more realistic feel. This model is obviously different from the standard black frame in terms of color, but it's also a limited edition, and each pistol has a unique serial number. I've read that only 200-250 were/are produced per year, but I'm not sure if that's accurate or not. In other cosmetic areas, the trademarks are all present, just as they would be on the real gun. Here's a couple more pics that hopefully give some idea of the realistic markings:

Speaking of realism, this gun is easily the most realistic airsoft gun I've ever seen in terms of functionality compared to the real version. Pretty much everything is replicated on the Maruzen version including: Tilting barrel, ambidextrous mag release, safety and takedown, 2 stage trigger, slide lock, sights, decocker, and cocking indicator pin. I think the only thing that isn't present on the Maruzen is the loaded chamber indicator that moves out from the side of the slide on the real gun when a round is in the chamber. The indicator pin is a pretty cool feature, especially since it works like it's supposed to! When you pull the slide back and chamber a BB, a small pin with a red dot pops out from the back of the slide. It really stands out when aiming, leaving no doubt if you are ready to fire or not. You can also press the decocker on the top left of the slide, and the trigger will reset to double action while the pin pops out of sight back into the slide. Here's a slightly blurry pic of the sights, with the indicator pin sticking out:

Firing the gun really impressed me, as I had read that the gun lacked blowback power and speed. I'll admit the speed of BB's leaving the barrel is not that great when using duster gas, but the slide cycles fast and provides plenty of kick. On one of the mags I ran through the gun, I gave an extra squirt of green gas after a nearly complete fill of duster. The gun kicked noticably more, and was overall more powerfull. I'm not going to risk using pure green gas, but I doubt that a little boost of it will hurt too much The accuracy of the gun also impressed me, and I haven't even tried adjusting the hop-up or sights yet. I was hitting an ~6x8 inch area from over 30 feet away with consistency.
Overall, I'm VERY happy I decided to get this gun, and I plan to baby it, keeping it as close to new as possible. I guess it will end up being more of a display gun, but what a great display it is! I can't find any fault with the gun as of now, but I have read that the mag release can fail over time. Apparently it's made of a very soft metal, and can get rounded off, allowing the magazine to hang a couple of mm low. This can cause problems with the operation of the gun, but can, from what I've read, be solved by just pushing the mag up with your hand while firing. If this problem ever develops for me, I'll be sure to post about it, but for now I'm crossing my fingers and enjoying pretending to be James Bond 8)
