Depends on what you are trying to go for. Honestly, most MILSIM games only allow one high capacity (Winding) magazine and as many midcaps as you can carry. However, many rec games don't regulate the amount of magazines you can carry, high cap or not. With the CYMA M14, you seem fine with one high capacity magazine. I'd purchase a few midcaps myself, www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=32716 (my recommendation). However, you should be fine unless you're one heavy sprayer with your two high caps. There is no "Acceptable" amount of magazines you can carry. It all depends on how many you can carry in your vest or pockets, and how much you're willing to spend, paired with what is allowed. Honestly, since you seem new to the sport, I doubt you'll need a ridiculous amount of mags. Just my opinion.

I honestly doubt you were a /true/ support gunner or sniper, with the way you seem to post that you play and the guns that you've owned. But, either way, please use the search function before asking questions and correct your spelling and grammar. All of your questions could have easily been solved by reading stickies and using search.

I am also a proud owner of an M14. Not CYMA though, but no matter. I have trouble with ammo too, and I believe anyone with an AEG will have trouble with keeping ammo in a mag when it's in the gun. I would suggest get a mix of mid-caps and high-cap mags. Personal opinion though...

First, Coyotecommand, please stop deleting your posts. It makes everything so much more confusing. I can't tell what Redscout is talking about in his second post, and that's because you deleted the one before it. If you keep doing that, I'm going to give you another 25% warning. Second, you have a PM about your grammar. Please heed it.
On to the subject at hand, if you can afford to, stay away from hicap mags. They're loud, unreliable, and about as noob-tastic as you can get. Though some milsim games allow them, many don't. But on top of that, most players who have been around longer than a year won't respect them. They're that perfect mix of zero realism (500 round without reloading is a joke) and poor performance (the aforementioned noise and feeding problems). No serious player uses them, and for good reason.

I am going to add a little more to Knief's post. For the price of one high cap magazine, you could pick up probably 3 mid caps (depending on price). So really there is no reason to carry a high cap. From personal experience, I run about 6-8 mid caps in my PC, and have never had a problem with running out of ammo; and I know it was stated above but just to put more emphasis on the topic, high caps are loud as all hell when you're running.

When I get together with my friends the game is about realism. Depending on who you are playing with or what kind of rules you have to follow will usually determine that for you. Having a good variety of mags is important for different uses.
Ex. In the private games I've had with friends we like to make it as realistic as possible. So, it becomes as many mags as you can carry. But, no mag is allowed to have over 30 shots loaded in them.
Usually carrying a half a dozen mid-caps seams to work out well for me in games. I keep my gun on semi auto as I hate the paintballer type of spraying. But I do own a couple high-caps for games that I will clearly need them for. I just hate winding them and the amount of noise they make.
As JuiceBox said "For the price of one high cap magazine, you could pick up probably 3 mid caps. So really there is no reason to carry a high cap"

I understand what your saying about the noise it is very annoying when I turn the gear , But when ever i look for a mid cap it is about $20 and the high cap is around $10-$15 . And I also agree with alexbuechel on the full auto , on almost al my guns it collects dust . But what about those electric hi caps are they the same or do they perform more efficent ?

I don't know where you're looking for mags, but this is about right for a pack of 8: www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=60_112_276&products_id=1604They're not in stock at that store at the moment, but I'm sure somebody else has them for a similar price. For $7 per mag, and pretty much everybody has had good experience with Mag brand midcaps. I know I sure have. Those electric winding mags are even worse than hicaps (B=box mags for SAWs excluded). Not only do they rattle all around, but they break constantly. Largely they're just made really poorly, so they're very very prone to failure. You never see them on the field for two reasons. First, they're more nooberific than hicaps, so people don't buy them. And second, anybody that does buy them can be found sitting in the parking lot trying to fix them. [edit] Got your PM last night. I'm going to get back to you about it when I have some time tonight.

To add onto Knief's post www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=25388M4 mags that hold thirty more rounds then those M16 mags, and the total package costs a buck less. I actually have this box by the way. EDIT: it says on the title of the page about the M16 mags that each hold 100 rds, but in the description it says 130. Either way it's a buck less

They're the exact same mags, meelow. Those look like they're in stock, but with Evike you never know.
