I have had good experience with WE's guns, especially their Luger series. I have owned and used the Luger(all three), M1911, Silver Dragon, Beretta M9s, and their SCAR. I just do not see what the problem is. I always take excellent care of my gas guns(oiling the actions, lubing the mags, and cleaning the barrels after every use). If your experience with WE's guns have been bad, chances are that you haven't taken very good care of your sidearm/gas rifle.

WE is a good bang for the buck company. I have a 1911. It is good as a sidearm. But one the of my mag followers has broken and that is all so far. Compared to TM and WA their is defiantly a performance gap. I had a TM desert eagle and it was the farthest shooting gun I owned it shoot at 280ish dos on duster and could reach 150ft easy.

WE has been slowly trying to improve their quality and products (like new models at least once a month). However the fact remains that their manufacturing quality is low, even abysmal especially in comparison to other companies. They are dirt cheap ($110) for a reason. They use a non-TM standard design so the only replacements to work are WETTI. They are also made of low grade pot metal which bends or breaks easily, the rubber seals are extremely low quality as well.
They may make a starter pistol but in comparison to other pistols they pale. As Mike notes, TM has them beat hands down in range and accuracy. KWA also offers some extremely better quality options at not much more money.
Flat out it doesn't matter how good you take care of a WE, it's still a WE and the original build quality will be there.

My WE 1911 was pretty bad. Thus, the hate on WE. Their quality seems to differ so wildly between people its almost laughable. As many people that have good experiences, there seems to be just as many people with bad experiences.

I have never owned a TM(aeg or pistol) and i don't plan to. first of all what your reffering to as "pot metal" is die-cast, G&P has die-cast. its an airsoft gun, its the thickness of the material that counts, metal is metal and a metal 1911 is better than any plastic WA or TM. 2nd, the AWSS system next to the NS2 system is probably the best gas system there is. 3rd WE makes a GBBR SCAR, M14, G36, and HK416, if there are any other companies that make any of these rifles let me know. do you think that WA wouldn't have a brass gas tube if they could. you see all that gas blow out the breach of WA gun shooting off in the atmosphere, thats your money and its not doing anything for you. 4th TM still uses the old gas system and they are made of plastic, making you spend more money for a metal kit. Now for me as a WW2 guy there are two companies that make the P08 Luger, Tanaka and WE. Now Tanaka's Kar98k is good, but their Lugers are plastic and they suck. WE is the only company to make a full metal Luger.

Alright, stop spewing false information. AWSS system being the best out there? Where is this proven? Have you tested the AWSS system alongside the Magna, SCW, S7, NS2 systems?
TM is better than WE. WA is better than WE. Why? It's proven, TM and WA's may use plastic, but they blow WE away in quality control, ergonomics, aesthetic accuracy, and performance.
Tanaka Lugers are great guns also.

Metal bodies is not the end all be all. My TM Glock 17 is way better than the WE MEU I owned in every regard. Better mags, better quality and better performance. I'll take my plastic TM over a metal WE every day of the week.

Hey I'm sorry that this happened, my brother is a big fan of WE and loves to start fights over airsoft companies, he got onto my account and started this thread. I apologize for what has happened, I'm a fan off all airsoft companies, Japan, Taiwan, or China. I am only a WW2 airsoft player. My brother on the other hand is only a beginner and only trusts WE.

If you had ever used a TM pistol Captainbrenandsten, you would know why so many people are telling you that they are hands down better. Metal does not necessarily equal better. Plastic guns can flex, while metal guns, especially ones made out of the cheap zinc alloys WE uses, can and will break.
Most of us that have been around here for a while have used guns from all different manufacturers. Personally, if I were going to buy new, there are three pistol brands I would look at right now: TM, WA, and KWA.
WE's are a perfect example of getting what you pay for. I remember when they first came on the scene, everyone was shocked at how cheap they were. Then they started breaking and then you realized why they were so cheap.

Since I can't prove otherwise, I'll take you at your word. However, in the future you should probably make sure you log out of your account and/or change your password, otherwise your "brother" may get you put on the short bus to ban town.

yes I will make sure to do that. I thought this site was the same as WW2AA where it logs you out automatically.

I'm going to give you (or your brother or whoever the fuck) a warning for the grammar and flame baiting earlier. You're responsible for what gets posted from your account. If your brother gets on and makes a bunch of shit posts on your account, then the account is held responsible regardless of who was behind the keyboard. You should change your password and log out every time you're done with MiA. You don't want to come back and find yourself banned because somebody posted what you never would have.
I'm also going to lock this, because it's a pretty pointless thread.
