I was sitting in my living room watching "Tales of the Gun" marathon this afternoon when all of the sudden the UPS man stopes in front of my house. I instantly grin and start to diabolically giggle I meet him at the door of his truck he hands me a good sized box from Wolverine Tactical Supply (Thanks Mike ;D) I take it inside and in less than half a second I have in my hands my new sidearm a Western Arms Shibuya Custom CDP
WOW!!!!!! this thing is amazing. I look it over with my watchful eye and the only and I mean the ONLY inperfection I can find is a small (about 1mm) dimple on the rear sight to the left of the notch. Mikes pic does not do this thing justice it has the most flawless nickle plating i have ever seen, the plastic grips look so much like walnut it is amazing, the checkering is crisp and clean, and the gun is quite heavy (1.8lbs) and most of the weight is in the gun not the magizine.
So how does it shoot? Well I was a little worried that it would be less than par because it is a single stack 1911 but after one magazine I was very impressed it had better blowback and power than my buddies Tac-Master probably because of the "Magna" blowback system. I was even more impressed at how many rounds it could go through per gas charge. I think I shot off 3 magazines of 16 rounds each all on one charge it was sweet. The rounds were a little high so I need to know how to take it down so I can adjust the hop-up if anyone knows how please post a short explaination.
Overall, I think I got what I paid for this is the nicest airsoft sidearm I have ever seen and could not be more happy with its preformance and styling. I can't weight to show the busness end of this pistol to you guys at my first skirmish at the end of the summer. ;D
Here is a reveiw with some pics of it being compared to the "real steel" Kimber CDP
