I just recently aquired a tornado grenade and I have a question about what ammo to use.
Is there a reccomended weight? And does quality really matter that much? I would never use any already fired rounds or anything chipped or scratched, but are the little bags of BBs that come with guns too crappy to use in one of these for example?

To be honest, grenades are grenades, it's not like you're running a tightbore in them. You could probably get away with mixing a variety of weights to get the best spread.

I don't think bb quality is as important in the Tornado grenades as it is in say, a gun. I think some people have even used .12's in them. So, try out some different bb's and see what works for you.

I use cheap ass .12's from Walmart in my Tornado grenade and M203 shells. Obviously BB quality doesn't matter in grenades and using anything else is just a waste of money and perfectly good bb's. I also find that the crappy .12's work well because they have very eradic flight paths ie. more spread.
