Doesn't CO2 have a much higher pressure out put than green gas? i think that would put your gun through hell, and probably put it ove acceptable fps limits. Maybe i'm wrong though.

theres a pressure valve, the rate of fire seems slightly lower, theres much more recoil now.

that sounds kind of odd for a co2 to work on a airsoft gas gun

Yes, it does, and I bet it's not the greatest for the guns, either.
Paintball gun owners can attest to the fact that CO2 makes regular paintball guns (internals mostly made (or completely made) of metal, I may add) "freeze up", and I would bet that a *plastic* Airsoft gun wouldn't do to well if that happened.
Like Napalm said, though, it has a regulator on it which helps keep *some* of the "liquid" part of the CO2 out that would enter and freeze the gun.

the tube from the tank to the gun is like 3 or 5 feet long, the internals of a KWC m16 are mainly brass, aluminum, and some parts that i think are steel, they cold be zink.

yeah, my friend luke hooked up CO2 in the Mossberg M500 and all he did was hook up a hose to one of the CO2 adapters to a painball gun of which he fit all in the stock. The hose had a fitting that just screwed into the gas up valve.
He did modify the inside chamber so it would shoot with more volume, but otherwise, all you would have to do is lubricate it now and then and it shot like a mofo. With 5 bbs, it shot as far as a stock AEG without even having a hopup to help. before all of the use of CO2 and modifications, those Mossberg shoot like little pussys, it would only reach 30 feet max.
