I fielded my Bar-10 for the first time a while ago, and midway through it started slam-firing. There was a thread started by the previous owner of the gun and I guess the problem was the trigger sear had a crack in the underside. I opened it up and...nothing. No crack. Could there be something else wrong that is causing it to slamfire?

Could simply be the sear isnt catching or your trigger isnt setting. Make sure the entire trigger mech works.

The stock sears are known to wear down very quickly.

Ive had the same thing happen with my Gspec, there was a very hairline crack that was only visible when pressure was put on it. Just enough for it to slip. I spent money replacing the piston sear, and spring guide stopper, thinking it was those, but ended up being the trigger sear. The cheapest sure solution is to buy a lightweight/zero trigger kit for it. The Tokyo Marui VSR sear design is poor, the Laylax Zero trigger and PDI V trigger make it a Maruzen/Classic Army style, which provides much more catch. You can see the back of the piston has a 45 degree lip that the sear catches, this is the original VSR style. www.shootercity-airsoft.com/images/First%20Factory%20PSS10%20Piston.jpgNow here is a Maruzen style catch for the VSR, from the Zero Trigger. You can see the 90 degree catch for the sear, which is also a Maruzen style. This design is incredibly better. www.tokyo-model.com.hk/ecshop/images/200712/1196464526670361263.jpg

Good story bro. Your words will help him fix his rifle. No wonder your negative karma is catching up to your post count.

What Livonia is saying is that your post doesn't actually add anything to the thread. It doesn't help the original poster with his problem in any way, and thus, is worthless. If it's worthless, you shouldn't have posted it in the first place. Point being, please stop making worthless posts like that or you'll get a warning.
