I have one of those Airsoft innovations Tornado grenades and I am having some problems. First of all when I try to reset the grenade its real hard to push the primer down. Second of all the timer stops and doesn't go off when it is all gassed up and the pin is pulled, unless I assist it and that was pretty surprising when the entire bottom cap shot off (not the safety plug) I would like to know if this problem is fixable and what can I do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you use the grenade oil? Proper lubing can make a difference. Maybe clean it also there is some maintenance videos on you tube and possibly on their web site.

When you oil it, make sure your using proper grenade oil. I'm not sure what's special about it but they say to only use their grenade oil. Make sure when your putting the oil in the chamber that you put it on the edges. You have to lube the O-ring, not the plastic. Also, make sure you open the delay chamber when your lubing it. I lube mine every time I use it. The instructions say to lube it every two uses, but when I do that the second use doesn't blow up.
Mine had sort of the same problem. I would pull the pin and throw it, and it would never go off. To fix it I lubed the O-ring and just pushed the cylinder up and down like 50 times. Since then I haven't had any trouble with it going off. I would recommend you lube it and just work the piston until it seems easier. If that doesn't work you might need to take it apart and check for any burrs or mold seams that might be hanging up.

Well I took it apart and I see no internal problems. I mean it used to work but I never oiled it becuase I only used it twice and I used green gas so I figured that green gas has added silicon oil that it would be fine. Well now I have to get that lip gasket on and I need some tool I am told, and now i have to also re-seal the outer plastic case too. Over all im just pissed at this piece of crap. So I say dont take them apart.

I never oiled it because I only used it twice and I used green gas so I figured that green gas has added silicon oil There is the problem. The grenades don't work the same way as GBB guns do. Grenades require the O-ring to be lubed separately. If you never lubed the O-ring then it would cause the problems your having. When you get it back together ALWAYS lube the main chamber O-ring with the provided oil and you shouldn't have a problem.

Like TheEnd said, You need to lube it every other use, If not every use. The proper lubrication the better it will work.

To fit the shuttle (the piston and valve assembly is called this) back into the grenade there is a cheap kit available from airsoft innovations that comes with three plastic sheets. If you don't have a repair kit you need three small plastic sheets each about 2 x 2 inches, they should be about the consistency of an index card for purposes for thickness and rigidity, but make sure they are peices of plastic. The simplest way to describe the replacement process is to wrap all three pieces of plastic sheeting around the top flanged o-ring as you fit it into the grenade body. Oil the absolute hell out of the thing and then gently push it down into place. The plastic sheets will allow the flange to slip past the lip of the grenade without much difficulty. Next, while holding the shuttle in place, grasp the sheets and remove them one at a time without tearing them (leaving plastic sheet pieces in the grenade will foul it up). Once this is all done, reseal the grenade and it should work much better. I fixed SKypilots grenade and three of my own this way. Additionally I purchased steel madbull fill valves from redwolfairsoft and found that they seal much better than the fill valves that come on the grenades. The Madbull valves are steel and don't get deformed from using metal propane nozzles or greengas bottles and additionally they have small o-rings on the outside which make them seal so much better with less gas wasted. Hope this is helpful.

Do you know what version your nade is? Your describing issues I has with my V1 sample AI sent to me. Hell, I could pull the pin when it was fully charged and oiled, go away and come back 24 hours later and it still hadn't popped.
There V2 fixed this. If yous send it into there US Disturber (ZShot) they will fix it and upgrade it to a V2 if it is in fact a V1.
You can email sales@zshot.com for info on returning it for repair/upgrade.
