I recently ( about 1 1/2 months ago ) bought a KWC Caspian GBB. After shooting it a few times i realized that when i run out of bb's, the slide does not stay back. Correct me if im wrong but it is supposed to stay back, right? If anyone has experienced problems similar, or have a solution, let me know. Heck, it might just need a little cleaning up inside.

It could be several things. First pull the slide back and push the slide lock up and see if it will hold the slide open. If it doesn't lock back then check the groove in the slide. I have seen slides with deformed knotches in them. If this is the case you can carefully file it till the slide will lock back. If the slide does lock back, try putting an empty mag in and see if the slide will lock back (this time don't push up on the slide lock).
If it doesn't lock back, try moving the slide lock up and down. There should be a spring pushing the slide lock up. If the lock is limp and you can lift it and drop it then something is wrong with either your mag or the spring.
There is a small knotch on the side of the mag somewhere near the top where the bb's feed out of the mag. This knotch has a small plastic/metal piece that moves to the top of the mag as you empty bb's. Once the mag is empty the small tab is forcing the slide lock up(via the spring) and causing your slide to lock back. You should be able to see the tab if you compress the mag spring a few times.
If your gun cycles without it seeming like there is a powerloss, then you can rule out problems with the values in the gun. I would suggest trying another mag if you have one. Hopefully its something simple. Taking apart the gun can be fairly tricky and something I wouldn't advise unless you are feeling brave. One last thing make sure you lube your gun with some silicone from time to time.
Let me know if this helps, if not then let me know and Ill try and help you figure it out.

Yes. Glock 18c's are fickle beasts. Mine tends to only partially cycle on semi, but works like a champ in auto. I have seen a couple others that have a weak cycle every once in awhile. I haven't taken the time to take it apart, but I think it has something to do with the selector lever/gears.

no such problems with my 26C... probly around 1500 rounds through it...not so much as a hicup... couple jams due to dirt....but that's my fault, not the guns.

Hey thanks Echo. I just tried your method of pulling the slide back and pushing up the slide lock and it stayed fine. Also when i put in a mag and pulled the slide back and it also stayed tight. I have taken it apart, as far as making the gun 2 pieces by taking the slide off the top half of the gun. I have no used silicone spray on it since i got it, and maybe thats all it needs. I think ill go try that. Thanks again, ill keep you updated on how its going.

yeah my 1911 does that from timre to time, also, when you are empty and the slide stays back, make sure that you put a new mag in first before you return the slide foward. I have noticed it does shoot out two bbs at a time that way. i was a moron at fist

Yes, the 18c and 26C are select fire, with the 26 being the compact model. Also, learn to edit posts instead of posting twice in a row.
