If you're up for it, cqbr, I'd like to organize a bit of a committee of long time players and event hosts to try to set something up here next year. With this kind of land, we could hold something epic, and well worth the drive for most players. We have enough land that people can camp out for a full weekend worth of play, so people can get their gas money's worth. Hell, even with minimal props, the sheer size of the field is enough to make for a great milsim game. And believe me, I can stretch a 100+ player game over more than a mile's worth of field. We used to play on square half mile field with 10 players and we took up every foot of space.

I have no original ideas - fuckin' word filter Hell, SFOD's field had about 90 people and it's only about 20 acres, if that.

I agree with Knief and Munin... A epic event on that much diverse land would be welcomed. I think that with the right amount of planning a awesome event is in order!! I'd be more than happy to lend a hand in planning, committee membership or whatever. I live up in Gaylord, so the next time you plan on being in the neighborhood drop me a pm.

I have about 5 acres of land near alpena, I would like to host there but maybe in a couple years. It has a great "valley" ladscape. In the valley there is a swamp with a road that runs accross it and a bridge all surrounded by trees. It has a sniper tower (used for deer hunting), a tree fort and 2 tree stands. It is a very unique area, but I think it has some great potential.
