I have a TM M73, and I want to increase the battery voltage from 8.4v to 9.6v. But I can't tell what the fuse voltage max and ampere max is. Does anyone know if I need to change the fuse or is the original okay?

I believe a 15A fuse should work.

Do like most do and remove the fuse and go direct. This will also give you some more room for the larger battery. If you need help, give me a pm.
MODIFIED: Luke, may a great suggestion, get rid of the bulky case for the fuse, keep the fuse in place and electrical tape it. Much safer idea. Thanks Luke.

I wouldnt advise that! I believe to have problems with my m4 because the fuse was taken out ... the gears jamed and the motor got burnt out... atleast thats what i have concluded so far... i would say if you take the BOX out then just tape the fuse up and stick it in the top of the grip... theres enough room for sure!

While we are on the subject of batteries, I have a question. People say that they have upgraded Steyr AUG's and M4's internally to <350 FPS, but other sources say that you can't upgrade the spring because there isn't enough power to pull back the stronger spring, and since I'm not very mechanically orientated , I don't want to mess with the fuse and screw it up. Please help!

Your solution is simple, DarkRyderOmega...use a 9.6V battery instead of an 8.4V. You shouldn't run into any fuse problems with a 9.6V batt, and it'll have no trouble generating the necessary power for a spring up to (and maybe beyond, not really sure) 400FPS.

Thanks, man. See, like I mentioned in earlier posts, I'm shopping for an AEG, and battery size was a major factor. Thanks again.
