I have a TM M733 and I want to increase its power. I was thinking of changing the spring to a ms110. Do I need to change the gears and/or motor to use this spring or should I be fine with the stock motor and gears?

I wouldnt suggest going over an m100 (pdi 150%) spring if you wanna play CQB. The m100 will give you about 350fps with .20 bbs. I have an m100 and metal bushings in my sr-16 and havent had a probelm yet.

leanpocket, that wasn't his question (not to mention that the PDI equivilent to an M100 [328 fps] is not the 150% [360] fps, it's the 130%. Furthermore, a 140% should put you right at around 350 fps).
with an M110, you're looking at ball park 370 fps. You'll need metal bushings at a minimum. Go with systema oilless metal bushings. You may be luck enough to survive without gears. I've been running a 150% at 370 fps with stock gears for about a year now with no problems. Other people have stripped them after a few mags and an upgraded spring. I'm working on a gun right now with an M100 and a stripped sector gear. You may get away without them, or you may need them. I say stick with stock gears now, and as they start to wear out and strip, buy new ones to replace the old. There's no sense in throwing out good gears if they're still turning, right? And who knows, you might be lucky enough to get away with years on them.
You'll be fine with the stock motor. You will need a 9.6v battery to maintain any sort of ROF though. The higher the mAh, the better.

Ohh thanks Knief for pointing that out to me, I have always thought that the m100 and the pdi 150% spring were near the same fps.. Yea like knief said get metal bushings at the least, than replace gears and parts as they break or begin to wear down.
It is really a toss-up when it comes to the life expactancy of your gearbox when you install upgrades..
