Hey guys, I have an M15A4 RIS, and I have experienced some problems. They are as follows: - Whenever I shoot, I have feeding problems. I'm using the Tokyo Marui M16 68rnd mags, but it only shoots like 3, fires a blank or 2, and then continues the cycle
- When I am able to shoot, the bbs drop like mad (I have no range whatsoever, with my brand new battery and my old one). Of course I adjust the hop-up, but it doesn't affect it at all (well, barely, but it's still not accurate at all)
- The Tokyo Marui mags are horrible to load (they don't fit in the mag well right)
I was wondering if anyone had any help for my problems. Unfortunately, there are a lot, which makes me sad. Thanks for any help.

Why dont you use the mag that comes with the gun? It may be a bad mag.
Try changing what type of bbs you are using, if they are low quality, that may be your problem right there

Hmm. While I'm not familiar with CA guns it would sound like the problem is centering around the hop-up. Have you taken the hop-up unit and inner barrel out og the gun to make sure there's no debris and it's assembled correctly?
EDIT: Ho-up, ha!

I'm using Excel .25s, so I don't think it's the bbs. Plus I have used these mags on my TM M4 and it works fine. I don't like hi-caps, which is what came with the gun, because I think it's unfair. And no Jacko, I haven't taken it apart. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. But what about the feeding problem?

Have you tried turning the hop up all the way down ?(also know as ho-up ) I concur with Jacko, it would seem to be a hop-up or inner barrel mis alignment

I believe (And Luke, let us know for sure) that the CA guns have an integral feed tube built into the hop-up unit, unlike TM guns. If there's some sort of mis-alignment or some kind of damage/defect it may be related. You could probably tell easily by just opening up the gun and seperating the recievers.
Again, I have no experience with CA guns, so what I'm saying may be completely irrelevant.

I tried messing with the hop-up, but it still does it. It affects the bb only slightly. If I were to take it down, what am I looking for in terms of an "inner barrel mis alignment?"

I would just back the hop-up all the way off and look down the barrel. See if it's un-round or if there's any crap in there, and then look into the feed tube.

If the mags don't fit in the mag well correctly, that's likely your problem. It may be that the feed tube is misplaced, or that your CA rifle just doesn't like TM mags. Like Jacko said, take the gun down, and have a look at the hop/inner barrel. Anything out of whack inside should be relatively obvious.

I realize that you don't want to play with the CA hi-cap mag, but you should test to see that it gives you the same problems as the TM mags. Just because the TM mags work in your TM gun doesn't mean they'll work in your CA gun.
If the CA mag works fine (no problems with feeding), the problem isn't your gun (and so there's no need to tear it apart), but rather a magazine compatability issue. Magazine compatability is easy to solve - buy some CA standard mags.

I dont think using TM mags in it would be the problem because i use a standard TM mag in my M15 with no problems at all.

Be that as it may, it's better to test the magazine compatability issue before you go tearing apart your gun. If it works with the CA mags that it came with but not the TM mags, that's an important (and easily verifiable) piece of information.

Anyways, I'll try the CA mag, and if it's still FUBAR, I'll try the hop-up. It's just that my TM M4 did the same thing, and I even replaced the hop-up and it was still messed up. I just don't want to do the same with this puppy...
