Hey I've been running a 8.4V in my CA MP5A3 which i purchased from airsoftextreme.com rumor has it they order these guns durabley upgraded, and that was my reason for perchasing from there anyway, i have two 8.4V minis, and my gun always sounds like its running low on batteries, then it dawned to me! I need a 9.6V! I tried my friends 9.6V mini and it didnt FIT!!!!! So my question is, would a V-shaped mini for an SD6 fit in my CA MP5 A3? (pictured below)

I also have a CA MP5 A3 from AE, and my 9.6 fits in just fine. My 9.6 mini is also from AE, 4 cells x 2 cells and it works for me
PS - put the navy flash hider back on, I have nothing else to say

hmmmmmmmmmmm i couldnt get the 9.6 mini to fit! But you never really clarified if the V-shape fits, so please tell P.S. the navy flashhider has orange on it, and i tried to get it off but it took off the black paint under the orange also! And i think the non-navy flashhider looks better

I'm am awfully sure that you won't get a V SD6 battery in the Tactical Foregrip. I don't own the Classic Army grip, but rather the Guarder, where there is just enough room for a standard mini battery. I don't think it's wide enough to accomodate the width of the V shaped battery, however, I've neither a V Shape SD6 battery to try it.

Yes, exactly, it JUST has enough room for an 8.4, so im doubtful you could fit a 4X2 cell 9.6 mini in it.
So basically, i have to stick with the 8.4?
Could you suggest a 9.6 that would fit?

get a full stock on yoru gun then your possibities are endless. From what I know There are a lot of people who run 9.6 batteries in their ca mp5a3 +5s. I used to have the a2 which had a full stock and i upgraded to a 9.6 after a while and it was awesome. Also, you may want to modify your grip a little if it is possible. Or if you have any kind of experience with batteries, simply make your own. Get some 1.? volt batteries they are (usually 7 cells to make up the volatege you want. Example, divide 9.6 volts by the number of cells required, which is seven. and i believe it comes out to 1.3 volt indiviual cells.
so heres what you do, go to a hobby shop or somewhere that sells electronics or good rc cars (not tyco or cheap ones but real ones) and buy seven small (about 123 battery size or smaller) 1.3 volt nicad battery cells some super glue, shrink wrap (about 3 - 5 mil (thickness) and some insulated wire and connection ends. Go onlie if you are interested and look for instrucions for the specifics but you can also look at you r8.4 for the set up. This may also be cheaper then buying one already put together. like half price. shape it to fit yor grip and super glue the cells together like your existing battery and connections and all that jazz and then you are set to go and already so shoot a whole new gun.
