not all excel BBs are biodegradeable.
the ones that are, however.. take around 18-24 months.

Regular excels are excellent. never had a 'bad' BB with them. by contrast, i've had 'bad' or 'out of round' BBs with Mauri and KSC.
i use Excel .25s in my G3 of doom. .20s for my pistol loadout.

The biodegradable bb's are just as fine as their non-biodegradable counterparts. The only difference is that one, over time, will biodegrade and thus "disappear" so to speak, and one will not.
I've used both, and have had excellent results with either.
