Has anyone had experience making their own battery packs. I want to make a 9.6 for a P90 and want to know what kind of nimh i need to buy, just the AAs? and also does mah Matter? i want to use a radio shck 9.6 volt nimh-nicd combo charger that i have already. If anyone knows how this works or wants to give me step by step, it would be apreciated.

I am not experianced but if you arent experianced and you dont kno anyone who is to show you i dont thin it will be worth it... My friends dad is gonna show me how to make my own sometime ;D he was explaining it to me and from what i understood they sell the cells separtly... You go to a hobbie shop or radio shack and get the Cells, you sodder them together then get a wrap and have it shrink wrapped pretty much, and there you go... I am pretty sure that you dont use AA tho you need a better type of bat....(im thinkin the type of AA bat i would put into my cd player tho i could be wrong or misinturpating it)

Series - Negative to positive. This doubles the voltage and keeps the amps the same. If two 6 volts golf cart batteries are connected this way the voltage doubles to 12 volts and the amps remains the same. Again, One Trojan T-105 has about 200 amps of electricity and is 6 volts. If you series it with another, then you use a jumper to go from the negative terminal to the positive of the other. This now makes the set 12 volts but keeps the amperage rating the same at 200 amps.
Parallel Circuit - Positive to positive or negative to negative. Voltage remains constant, but the amps double. Most solar panels in the RV application should be paralleled so that the voltage remains the same at 12 volts but the amps double. Using our Trojan T-105 example, if you get another set of T-105's, a total of four you now have two 12 volt batteries. These two sets need to be paralleled to double the amps but keep the voltages at 12 volts. This is done by connecting the positive of one battery set to the positive of the other and the negative of one set to the negative of another.
