ok, i have an m733 and one of the wires "black" got chopped up by the motor (where the motor head and gear meet). now i am rewiring for a full stock, and im afraid the same thing might happen, any ideas on how to run the switch assembly around the motor to avoid a wiring mutilation?
i thought of drilling some holes and running the wire outside the gearbox, but that might get risky.

Well i rewired my M-4 to take a Large bat. and i am not sure if this will help you scine this is happening were it is but here ya go, and once agiain thanks Newman miairsoft.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=tech&action=display&n=1&thread=8168 "For *my version*, what you have to do is simply pull back the wires from the front handguard and just slip them around the left side of the mechbox (looking from the back) right underneath where the cylinder would be. Just push it tight to the mechbox. Take off the stock by pulling the clasp downward, instead of upward, and yank it off. Pull off the little "spacer" inbetween the receiver and the buffer tube. You'll need to drill a hole right below where the stock tube comes out of the receiver. Take off the connectors on the battery wires (that you pulled backwards) and push the wires through the hole. Reconnect the connectors to the battery wires. If you can close the mechbox now, with the wires coming out to the front of the mechbox and looping around the side and out the hole in the back, then you're in good shape. You might have to take off the "bolt close" button (which does nothing) to get the wires to fit, though. Use a battery bag or just tape the battery to the stock, then connect the wires to the battery, and voila, done. It's complicated and took me a while to figure out, but it all works out in the end. It's not the prettiest, but hell, I never do anything pretty, just useful." {quotes from Newman} best of luck
