hey guys i am lookin around online and see these batterys and see it says 8.4V 3000mah what does the "mah" stand for? Thats the highest one ive seen but the lowest is 600, Im guessing that the 3000 is better, but how is it better? What are the advantages of having the higher numbers?

this has been explained in many threads already, try searching around for your answers

this thread should probably be deleted or locked

Or...perhaps we could help find the information he requested Voltage effects how fast the motor turns, mah relates to how long it will turn on a full charge. So a higher mah rating will not hurt your gun, but you will get more "time" out of your battery. If you went with a higher voltage like 9.6v then your rate of fire would increase though your internals would suffer more wear and tear. So to recap like icecreamman said, not a problem. Luke And let him know, that in the future, it would be much easier to use the search function to determine wether the question has been asked before or not, as it would help him attain the knowledge he seeks much quicker. Now, that wasn't too hard, was it?

and i would hope that he could deduce that life is how long something lasts

...or we could fully explain and tell him that 'mAh' means 'milliamp hours'. It's a unit of measurement for the individual cells within the battery itself that determines the amount of power that the cell can deliver in a certain amount of time. The more mAh, the more potential shots a gun can shoot.

Thank you Motown, and Newman... DE i did try searching, not only on the boards, but on google. When your searching for somthing and you dont know what it is exactly its harder to come up with answers. I spent atleast 20 min searching yesterday, and after i didnt come up with anything then i posted...

When searching, it helps to think backwards a bit. Instead of searching for the exact thing you want, generalize a bit more...search for "battery" instead of "WTF does MaH mean?" You'll get more garbage results, but you're a lot more likely to find what you really want also.
