The reciever of the K is not shortened, the difference comes in the cocking tube and fore grip. The K has a much shorter cocking tube than the A and SD series.
However, Rustpot is correct that attaching a collapsable stock onto the K is very difficult without extensive modification. The method of attaching the K's butt plate and the A/SD collapsable stock is completely different. The plates on the side of the grooves in which the collapsable stock would ride are not hollow, they have a second plate covering the groove. You could cut that out without much of a problem, though.
The A/SD series stocks attach over a tapered protrusion of the upper reciever where as the K's butt plate slides partially inside the upper reciever. The K also uses a two pin system where as the A/SD series uses a one pin system.
You can't swap the upper recievers, however because the K's cocking tube is attached to the reciever and the A/SD series' cocking tube is a seperate piece.
So that all means that there is pretty much no way to do it without tons of work or creating some parts.

Are you talking about the A/SD series buttcap the keep the sliding stock in place?
You sort of need that to keep the stock in place.
I'm not quite sure what part you're talking about, so you're going to have to clarify. If you can, download a picture, use microsoft paint (or some other photo editing software) and circle the part that you're talking about. Then host the picture somewhere and give us a link.

You can just cut that off, but that doesn't solve the problem of the entire reciever being too wide to fit the rest of the A/SD butt plate over it.
