I wanted to upgrade my stock m4 to abouut 350 fps. Will I need to go to a 9.6V battery to make the gun fire properly? Also, will the rate of fire be equal to the stock rounds per minute with this upgrade and this battery or will it be less? And finally what are the minimum required parts I should get for this upgrade?

Unless you have several mini batteries I'd really suggest getting at least a 9.6V 1100MAH along with the upgrades.
Why? Well, because a 8.4V 600MAH mini battery won't last too long with that upgraded spring. Granted 350FPS isn't all that high, but it gives the poor ol' mini battery quite a workout. You'll be lucky if you can get off more than 1 hicap's worth of bb's before you're stuck on the field with a dead battery.
