Im sure some of you guys hace noticed my avitar, Nicholson Enterprise is my company I recently started. I've got a few products so far (carbon fiber tightbores and other custom made accessories) but one of the products I'm currently working on is a "select fire" 10/22 STOCK which automaticaly bumpfires the gun for you and it is as close to full auto as you can get without crazy paperwork and a $200 tax stamp. BUT it is still pending ATF aproval because they need to determine whether or not it is a machine gun conversion kit or something similar to the "Gat Triger". I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into another Akins Accelerator (if you know what that is). Just thought I'd introduce this to you guys first. It is in it's prototype phase and there are quite a few tollerance/surface changes changes I need to make. I'm at the range all day today so I'll get some footage of what I've got going on as well as me atempting to interview some other people that have played around with the thing and get their responces on how they like it and wether or not they would buy one. What I have made does not qualify as a machinegun because there is still "manual manipulation of the trigger", the gun has no autosear and it is still just a factory Ruger 10/22 housed in a stock. I've got several lawyers digging up everything they can about the legality of this product and so far, everything they have found is that an item such as this is 100% perfectly legal. All I need now is for the ATF to approve it as an accessory and not a class 3 conversion. EDIT: Just in case anyone is wondering, this was made under a class 2 contract so even though it was my idea and design, the company it is under has all the rights to it, so also cross your fingers that they hand the rights back to me .

Congratulations man. Best of luck with this venture. That shotgun sounds really cool, I'll have to watch the videos when they're up.

I'd like pics as soon as possible. I think this might be pretty cool if you could make a version for the Ruger Charger(10/22 pistol).

I've got a preban GSG-5 and I'm telling you right now... Its way over rated. Its cool because its a .22 MP5, but its really nothing too special, plus they are hard to clean.
But anyway, I got some good footage of the 10/22 today and I'll be at the range again tomorow to get some more. I cant do any closeups of it though due to some contractual agreements, however, I will get as detailed as I can get for you guys.

All the more reason to make a tacticool stock for the Charger! There aren't many guns that are easier to clean than the 10/22. BTW, if you have not seen it, here is the Charger, it's begging to be modded with some tactical flair. I think that there needs to be a stock made for this pistol to accept AR type mags and rails, if you can do this with the auto/bumpfire I might just have to buy one or two!

The problem with the Charger is that the reciever has a different type of finish. Its more of a rough finish as opposed to the typical smooth finish of a 10/22 rifle. But hey, I'm sure it could be figured out.
Just got back from being at the range all day and 3050 rounds have been put through it in just one afternoon (between roughly twenty people). The rifle had to be cleaned a few times obviosly, but other than a few FTFs and old, crappy Butler Creek mags, the gun ran like a champ. I went through all the suggestions I got from some of the peple who got a chance to shoot it (all of which loved it) and figured out that most everybody wants a 100% ambidextrious stock. So, I'm changing some things around on the prototype and hopefully that will make this thing even more fun to shoot.
I'm working on editing a video right now, should be up shortly!

I do believe this product will be found to be illegal by the ATF. Even if they say its legal now, later they will change there minds like they did with some of the others.
I do believe they recently changed the wording to make things like this illegal.
For example, google search the "Akins Accelerator", and the "HellFire Trigger System".
Both systems allow almost full auto fire out of a gun like the Ruger 10/22 and only still allow one shot per trigger pull. They used to be 100% legal, and the ATF even reviewed them and told the makers they were 100% legal. Then months later the ATF changed there minds, raided the companies, collected all there records and sent out letters to people who had them and said you gotta turn them in or be charged.
These close to full auto gimmicks are normally more trouble then they are worth if your selling to the general public. If you wanna build full auto toys, get the right permits, and build them for military and law enforcement and market them that way.

Actually, now that I think about it, I just remembered I read somewhere on the Rimfire Centeral that the ATF is denying all products like this now for the 10/22 and other weapons. Might try looking there for more info too.
I remember because I planned to buy a Hellfire or AA stock when I got my first 10/22 but everyone was out and when I asked around, I found out about the ATF changing there minds on the legality of them.

Kdogg, I recently got some info back from the ATF that basically said that this item would be illegal and they are actually in the process of redefining the term "machinegun" to basically include that any firearm that can be held in a fixed position (such as a vice) is no longer covered by the term "bump firing" So I guess this thread could be locked since it really doesn't do me any good considering they would be illegal to produce I still have the origional video if anyone would care to see it. Just throw me a PM and I'll reply with the video.
