150% is the percent of the spring. (more %=more fps(feet per second)

I've always assumed that it meant you would theoretically see a 50% increase over stock velocity. So the stock spring could be considered 100% power, and a 150% spring would give you 50% more power. It's all pretty random anyway, airsoft guns give strange results sometimes when you upgrade them, as there are many variables besides just the spring that will effect velocity. For example, you could install a high % spring, but if you didn't have a good seal between the piston and cylinder, your FPS would not be as high as it could be. I think only PDI and maybe one other company measure their spring strength in %; Systema springs are marked as M90, M100, etc. The M90 is equivalent to a stock spring, and I'm pretty sure the number rating refers to the theoretical speed in meters per second, ie an M100 should get you shooting around 100 m/s or ~328 FPS(feet/second).
Newman: Are those actual chrono numbers with your new spring, or are you guessing? That's cool if AirsoftToys tested your gun's speed for you! If so, did they happen to test it before the upgrade?

I was checking for upgrades on what I could do to my gun, and when looking I saw what most places do for a 350fps upgrade is put a systema M100 spring or a PDI 140% spring. They add a bunch of other things like metal bushings, stronger gears, aluminum piston heads, etc. as well, but my point was that M100 is actually equal to a 140% spring, now thats power. I also ordered an M120, which is supposedley equal to a 170% spring. I also saw that the M130 was equivalent to a 210%. Don't take my word for it, but airsoftshop was the place with those upgrade plans, so you can check it for yourself. I think wargamers had the same thing to, not sure though.
Well, anyways, I just put the M100 in my AK as well as many other upgraded gearbox parts to reduce friction and reinforce, so I'll be able to see what it really can do. Anyone coming to Op: Rapid Response better hope I don't have a good seal between my piston and cylinder ;D ;D.
