I just read on the Redwolf site that airsoft is illegal in MI, is this true?

I was going to order a gun from RedWolf to Michigan and RedWolf didn't seem to have any problem with it even though they say it is banned. It is banned unless you get the barel painted and have the trademark removal. RedWolf does this for free so just ask them to paint the barrel and do the trademark removal. You might want to talk to RedWolf about this and see if they will ship to Michigan since it obviously isn't illegal.

they say it's banned, because Michigan has some laws about recieving real steel weapons in the mail... apparently they've had some shipments siezed, and they're not too into that.

Ed and I have actually had our airsoft guns checked by the customs agents. They ripped into our packages and gave Ed a call about it, but we eventually got them back anyways. Orange paint was on our barrels so it was all legal.

2 Months? Thats a long time just to check one package. I hate customs they make it so hard to get your airsoft stuff.

Well actually I never did get the gun! Customs kept it to this day! Eddy from airsoft shop was nice enough to send me a totally new shipment free of charge (I still had to pay just not for the second package) and that one made it through. I'm still getting letters every other week saying if I dont come to court in whatever amount of days my gun will be destroyed. I called them and they never returned any of my calls so... Screw you Nancy from claims deparment!

Airsoft (of course) is very legal in Michigan. I know that RW ships here, but for some time they wouldn't take credit card orders from Michigan. I don't know why they did this, but now you can use Paypal with them just like any other place. The people who run RW aren't businessmen, they are just very dedicated players who prolly have a day job (that's why the website is hardly updated). I'm sure they just overreacted to some law.
