Well guys, this thread is about pretty much everything that just went well today. If you want to post anything great that's been happening to you (Airsoft related) lately, please, be my guest, and post here. To get on with the thread, if any SEMTEX members or MiA forum-goers doubted my willingness to succeed in fixing my MP5, well, you may doubt no longer. My MP5SD6 is completely fixed after the tappet plate breaking and the trigger piece that completes the AEG circuit bending, I fixed everything tonight. My first AEG works, and I am happy once again. Guess if I go to the skirmish on Sunday, I'll bring it along for some dude to borrow who doesn't have a gun (SEAL ;D). Also, in my opinion, I've got just as good news being two 9.6 volt 600 mAh batteries just happened to find their way into my possession. It turns out that the only other kid in Saline with an Airsoft gun (an ICS MP5A3) was using 9.6 volt batteries (he wasn't allowed to play Airsoft even with the gun, long story...) and they both burned out in his gun or charging. Turns out he charged them with the wrong amps and obviously, that's not good. Seeing as he has no need of 9.6 volt batteries in his stock gun, and I needed upgraded batteries for my upgraded gun, we decided to switch mini batteries. Since his batts had blown their connections (erm...I'm forgetting the name of those lines that come from the battery, I feel dumb, but it's 1:00 AM hehe) I just took them from him and soldered them back on with my dad, and they work perfectly...as in, when I put them in my upgraded M4, it sounds like a frigging cannon and shoots as fast as Bigmack's G3. Basically it's on steroids compared to when I used 8.4 volts. ;D Need...to...go...to...Operation...Rapid...Response....and kick ass!

Today? Well, for a brief moment I was able to unplug my ear (I accidentally plugged it with my own wax while cleaning with a q-tip), which made me think that I was gonna have stereophonic sound for Sunday's game - that was good news. Of course now it's plugged again, and I have a horrible ear ache.

Have you tried to hold your nose and blow, popping your ears, maybe that'll help. If nothing works, which ear is it, so I know which side to sneak up on you in Sunday's game.

I have nothing else to say! Never have I seen a thread get so far off topic so fast!
That's great to hear that all your stuff's working again Newman, but I do have some bad news for you.... Thumper locked your little battery thread over at airsoftplayers ;D

I know, I wondered who'd notice. I asked a totally different question (crappy wall charger for 9.6, while that question was 9.6 for 8.4), but anyway, I e-mail Thumper asking forgiveness from the Airsoft Gods, and he accepted my sacrifice (ok, really, he said it was ok and told me that he didn't mean to sound so mean, and just post it in a relevant topic next time).
Ehehe...my ear aches...must..take..out...bb's. ;D ;D
EDIT: I just shot my M4 with the 9.6 volt batteries on full auto(for the first time with the 9.6, and the first time since upgrading). It's...crazy....it's too fast! My mag will be gone in less than...well...less than 8 seconds! Sheesh, I don't know if I'll even use full-auto with it, it shoots so fast it's kind-of dumb. ;D Time for Newman ownage!

Read the title of my post..."Bad News".
Turns out that when I tested out my gearbox last night and it fired, it wasn't doing it correctly.....so when I tried out the MP5 today....it shot bb's maybe 10 feet.
As any great general would say: Back to the drawing table! ;D
It's actually not so bad anymore, knowing that ICS SUCKS MONKEY BALLS and just DEALING WITH IT!

(resurrecting partially dead post that died from bad news...;D) GOOD NEWS FOR NEWMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My MP5 is finally fixed! The tappet plate is fixed, the trigger now actually extends back to the original position after firing, and it shoot more than 10 feet! And some even better news: some 8th graders (only a grade lower than me) that I used to be friends with have bought a couple Airsoft guns! A SPAS-12, PT-92 EBB, Maruzen Micro Uzi, USP Compact GBB, and some shotgun. I wonder...can anyone guess where they bought all of them? ;D ;D (me feels no compassion for them because they bought from Airsoft Atlanta....) This means that NOAL (Newman's One vs. One Airsoft League) will be officially back in business, so if you want to, visit the forums at newman.proboards4.com and watch the little kids yell at each other, er...talk about Airsoft. ;D EDIT: My friend came over today and we had some "goodtimes", as he says. ;D This certain friend had not talked to me since July of last year because of family problems and switching churches, and two days ago he contacts me telling me that he bought two Airsoft guns! What luck, another Airsofter in good ol' Saline! "Unfoychanitly", he got pulled into the cheap bonds of Airsoft Atlanta, and succumbed to their supposedly "great deals". His friend bought the 870 Shorty Pump-shotgun, and Jeremy (soon to be known on the forums as SPAS_Fox) payed $20 for some bb's and got the SPAS-12 included with that "deal". Well, like all great deals that Airsoft Atlanta has, this one just plain sucks. ;D The SPAS should be pumped once and then shot, but if you pump it twice, three, or four times, the number of pumps will determine how many bb's come out (up to 4). Unfortunately, seeing as how this gun is Chinese crap, the additional bb's just fall out of the gun if you angle it downward, so you must only pump it once. I guess being able to pump it more than once is just a defect, but oh well. If you don't angle it downward, it actually does shoot the bb's fine, albeit slow. The maximum range with .12 bb's is about...20 feet. ;D The hop-up is totally messed up, so at 20 feet the bb's dive (read: dive ;D) to the ground and a little to the right. Oh well, if you get it right, you can shoot 4 bb's at a time and smack some poor guy (read: me) pretty well. Now about the pistol he bought, it's a Taurus PT-92 electric blowback, and he got it for a whopping $30. Electric blowbacks-visions of bb's bouncing off paper at point blank range dance in my head....except that this gun rocks! I am *not* kidding, folks, his EBB is actually good! The range is better than any springer I've ever seen, the ROF is excellent for an EBB (3-5 BPS), the accuracy is better than any GBB I've *shot* (read: KSC Glock 18C, TM Tac Master, TM Beretta 92F), and for some really really really odd reason, the battery consumption is, IMHO, unbelievable. He has shot it a good 250 times already, and the batteries (rechargables at that) are just a bit weaker than when they were fully charged. Everyone can laugh at me all they want, but I want to bring this thing to a skirmish and show some guys how the PT-92 is an excellent first time Airsofter's gun, and even a decent (only uses .12 gram bb's) regular player's backup. I plan on buying one very soon, well, as soon as I buy some M4 mags... ;D In summary, range=better than springer, ROF=whoops any springer in a battle, accuracy=way better than any springer hopes to be, battery consumption=very very good. Hehehe@electric blowback review by Newman.
