Hey, I have a question for anyone who may have tested it out or not, but what is the difference in performance and looks, between the KSC japanese gas guns vs. the KSC taiwanese gas guns.
This confuses me because the taiwanese guns are oh so much cheaper, but I haven't heard of any differences. KSC claims that they all come out of KSC factories trying to make them sound equal, but I'm not satisfied. Please, I would appreciate input, this may decide which gun I am willing to purchase.

I have never actually fired a taiwanese one, but i have heard that the bodies are basically the same thing, but the internals are crappy, like mostly all plastic and stuff like that, very low metal content

I received my KSC G19 Taiwan version this past week, and can tell you that it's probably the most solid GBB I've owned. The internals are very simple and pretty much everything is metal. From what I've gathered, as far as KSC is concerned, their factories are located in Taiwan. When you buy a Taiwan version, it goes straight into the box and that's what you get. When you pay the extra for a Japan version, it's still the same gun, but it's sent back to KSC in Japan for quality checks, thus reducing the chance that you'll get a lemon. My advice would be to save the extra money and just get the cheaper Taiwan version.

oh sweet ass. I didn't know that. IM begining to lose trust in the crap im reading nowadays, thnx minky. I wanted to get the KSC g-19 also. But the only place i see them is in HK dealers, and i lose the money i save on shipping . So if you know of a US dealer that i dont, I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. tell me. Thnx man.

Yep, the G19 is my new skirmish sidearm and I think it will work perfectly. The new frame material is amazing, and the metal slide really makes the gun complete. I plan on posting a few pics in a little bit in the GBB forum, since my whole review I had typed up got swallowed by proboards last night

The airsofttoys one is the Japanese version. THe ones we are talking about are the Taiwanese versions. Also the one from MDairsoft is the KWA version, so it has the shiity VIPER slide, other than that's it fine. It's too bad though, they have awsome prices. Not that Mike doesn't or anything.....

this is a quote from mdairsoft if you click on the link from the G19
"KSC Glock 19 Gas Blowback
Manufacturer: Type: Gas Type: KSC (not KWA) GAS HFC22 gas"
It's clearly not KWA, unless they are falsely advertising, which they may very well be, but i'd base it off of the info they gave, because it probably is right.

thanks for the info, I bought the KSC glock 19 (taiwanese version) from Wargamers for $95 plus about 25 in shipping since I got a second clip, can't wait til it comes, . ;D ;D, I got my glock fobus holster waiting to be used by a nice gas gun instead of my cheap cocking glock 17. Did I mention that I love glocks?
So, for those who have a KSC glock 18C, how does that shoot?

That's Ok, we just got a stock of KSC G17, 18, 19's in and are still getting our prices established, I actually sold out the last 19 I had this weekend
Guys kinda like the ability to come into the shop, handle the gun and say "yep,, definitely want the 19 instead of the 17", etc.... and then walk out the door with it, same day! ;D
p.s. did MDairsoft or Airsofttoys have a 30 day warranty and 1000 free bb's with that deal.....?

I'm not sure about the warranty, but no, they didn't have 1000 free bb's.

sorry to revive an old topic, but the glocks are nice, but my preference is H&K USP (kinda biased, seeing as I own the real one)
As far as Glocks go though, I think I like the 19, especially with the metal slide, etc...

I gotta add a little here:
I've had my taiwanese KSC G19 for awhile now, and I can say that it shoots like a mofo. With green gas, I'm shooting around the range where a stock aeg shoots, almost identical to my SPP's range in semi auto mode. Also, very accurate and consistent, I love the external adjustable hopup it came with very easy to use, and is working perfect with my .25s.
