Figured I should say hi. Bigmack introduced me to this board and the people on it through a Detroit based CS server, me thinking for a long time almost no one in Michigan played airsoft.. Boy was I wrong So.. Uh, hi! Yeah. I live down in Northville, and I'm soon moving to Haslet. After that I'm moving to Missouri for a while, but I'll make about 10-12 visits a year back to Michigan. Hopefully make a skirmish every other visit maybe, possibly with a friend. I haven't really been in real skirmishes, but I finally bought some big guns (GBB tacmaster and a TM Benelli) and am looking forward to some fighting. See ya round!

Welcome! Looks like you made a couple of good choices for starter guns already.... I love my Benelli ;D Did you get the full stock model or the shorty? Either one is great for gaming, but I just love the look of the bigass full stock. Oh yeah! Anyway.... good luck with your move(s), and hopefully on one of your trips back to MI I'll get a chance to shoot you.... in an airsofty way of course

I got the fullstock model. I might invest in a pistol grip stock as well for CQB... Haven't decided yet.
Oh yeah, I do have a few other guns - two minis (which I used back in springer/mini only games with a few friends, and I might be chopping one up to use as a backup to my backup to my backup. Laugh all you want), a UHC MP5 SD3 (which will end up being a loaner gun when I bring a friend along), and a broken Glock 17. I'm also about to get a pocket 9 - I might try to make one of those wrist sliding things for it, just for fun ;D

Bah, you'll have to catch me first! I am the master of random dodging movements of course. Heh.

KMGor, you're going to laugh, hehe...I've known you since January of last year, I'm ComandoN/N3o*N3al/Newman from Detroit CS! You played Infiltration for UT a little while and we talked about Airsoft once, I was amazed that there were other people into Airsoft in Michigan (pre-Michigan Airsoft boards). Glad to see that you're here!

I saw you posting as Newman here, but I didn't make the connection. CS = Airsoft recruiting agency ;D
Seriously, if anyone wants to find more people interested in airsoft or just to recruit into it, try Counter-Strike. I'm not POSITIVE, but I think a casual mention of it on a CS server was how I first got into it.
I still play on their once in a while, now that it's back up. Not nearly as many players as back in the day, though it's just getting started.

He's right, I play CS, MOHAA, DFLW, nd more recetly that SOF DBL Helix map test thing, and on all of them but DF, I use wolverinetactical.com as my name, and I start all kind of chat/interest about airsoft. ......yea, its a sales gimmick too, but hey it gets more people into the "great adventure we call airsoft" (see how I craftily avoided the sport vs. hobby debate..... )

Got my guns. Bigmack said Peter Yee/Generation Airsoft had fraud allegations.. Don't know how that happened, I was VERY happy with their service. I had to wait a few days for the benelli to get back in stock, so they bumped my shipping up to overnight. Gotta remember though, the shipping was free to. The benelli is cool. Honestly, it doesn't shoot as far as I expected - I guess maybe I got spoiled by my SD3 (for a $40 gun, hitting tree trunks at 90 feet is damn good huh?). But it shoots very consistently, and it's cool being able to shoot across the street from my backyard. Note I only did that once, and it wasn't totally deliberate The cocking is about what I expected, funny how sometimes it seems pretty easy and other times hard. Maybe I'm just a weakling. Still though, once I got the orange off, it's intimidating, and beautiful as most shotties are. As Bigmack says, me = shotgun whore. ;D The beretta is sweet as hell. Ah man, the tacmaster is a beaut. To bad I only have .25g bbs now, since Gen Airsoft was out of .2s :-p. I'm also gonna have a look at holsters pretty soon. I bought one, but it was a cheapy and I decided it wasn't up to the standards the tacmaster set. Any suggestions on a new holster? Oh yeah, and where can I find an adapter to use duster gas for when I'm just plinking? I'm not gonn have an empty bottle of green gas for a few weeks. Heh. I also got my boonie hat in the mail. Once my BDU jacket gets here (probably Monday) I'll have everything I need to play. Huzzah.

As they say in CS, Yay!! ;D Glad to hear you got your guns ok. I've never heard of anyone having problems with Peter. In fact my shotgun came from him as well! I'd like to know where Biggie saw these allegations against GenAir. Probably some n00b at AirsoftZone who couldn't stand waiting for a money order to get there in the mail.... I'm surprised to hear that your Benelli isn't shooting very far, since mine shot at least 100 feet whith .25s when I got it. Now I have to use .20s to get similar range, but it still shoots about as far as a stock AEG. You might just need to break the gun in a little more, since pretty much every airsoft gun shoots funky out of the box. Once you put a couple hundred rounds through the gun hopefully it will start shooting better! I think it even says something in the manual about breaking the gun in, but I can't remember. For hoslters, pretty much anything made by Uncle Mikes, Eagle Industries, or Blackhawk should work perfectly. These guys all make high quality gear, and when it comes to holding your new $100 plus gun, I don't think you should skimp on a holster. I myself have an Eagle holster, like this: eagleindustries.com/ProdDisp.asp?PartNoID=307Check out www.blackhawkindustries.com , www.eagleindustries.com , www.uncle-mikes.com to see what catches your eye. If you have an ebay account (who doesn't? you could check for holsters made by these companies that go for cheap. Lately I've seen quite a few Eagle holsters going for around $25-$40 dollars. There are also usually plenty of Uncle Mikes holsters for sale as well. For duster ideas, try searching around on www.airsoftzone.com , www.airsoftplayers.com , and www.airsoftohio.com . There have been quite a few posts detailing various ways people have devised to use duster straight from the can. I think it's easiest to transfer it to an empty green gas can, but like you said you have to empty the can first. One note about AirsoftZone....make sure you have your bullshit detector turned on to max, since that site has really gone to hell in the past few months. I put much more faith in the info to be gained from AirsoftPlayers and AirsoftOhio.

$70 is a bit much for me. I'm gonna look around a bit more. That holster does look damn nice though.. The shotgun IS shooting 100+ feet. The max range that I could hit a man sized target, with a slight bit of lobbing (.25s, that is) would be 130ish. I dunno, maybe I was expecting it to go 200 or something Is it normal for the top barrel to be slightly more accurate then the others? It seems like the top goes a bit straighter in it's path - which is fine, as that gives it a bit more spread at the 80ish foot range. Good gun though, and it's a beaut.

I never said I paid retail for my holster, I have nothing else to say. *cough*ebay*cough*$16* Anywho, yeah 200 foot range is kind of unheard of for stock guns, sorry to say. As for one barrel being more accurate than the others, it's entirely possible. Since each barrel is seperate and has its own hop-up, they might not all be perfectly lined up the way nature intended. It could also be the break in period that I mentioned before, although by now I'm sure you've put at least a couple hundreds rounds through her
