We're allowed to "use" Airsoft guns, just not "own" them.
Ever wonder why there are a crapload of under-18 paintballers...who play legally at paintball fields, where their parents sign a waiver form?

Thats good for you to say...but judge or jury will have a different take on it.

*shrugs*
I'm not a lawyer or anything close to it, but when I heard that the group that got "caught" playing Airsoft at the construction site (Bigmack, SPAZ & company) didn't get any charges put against them at all, and furthermore got their guns back, I decided that owning/using Airsoft guns while under 18 is quite legal.
I can't argue any further.

just going to let you guys know that the only reason we got them back/charges weren't pressed was because Trooper was going into the Army... that's what we were told...that's what the evidence officer was telling us when we were picking them up... :/ the Warren PD would have had a shitfit fight with the Army because trooper was under contract to leave for boot.

Honestly guys, (And I know someone is going to throw this back in my face) but there are SO many ways to get in trouble with courts without even taking AirSoft weapons into account, just know who you're playing with, and keep your play area off limits to civilians and police. Waivers are good too, and I would recommend them. In the end, you can get sued/prosecuted for damn near anything. If you're afraid of having problems with Mr. Badge, stay in bed.

Now that's what I call falling ass-backwards into luck. If it's true.... Which it probably is not; maybe just banter from the officer.

dude, what he said
"dude I'm too lazy to spell a full word out. Please mock me. buying a dell" I hate that
but yeah, DOnt play in pubic and you wont have to worry
I checkied into the local law here in musk and you do have to be 18 to purchase or own a gun but ot to play, same as painball and bb guns. Nothing was said about the orange paint but im sure i would still get in trouble playing at a public place.

Yeah, don't play in pubic with your airsoft guns. Anyways, as to wierd cop stories: A few guys I knew in high school got caught shoplifting. They got booked, the whole deal, and when court time rolled around, the judge dismissed the case. Because the arresting officer DIED THE NIGHT BEFORE of a heart attack. They never had any punishment put on 'em. Now that's lucky! Or, they poisoned him. I wouldn't put it past those three.

Hey, I was just thinking about this last night, before I went to bed. Why would the police give back the Airsoft guns to the *minors*? They have no reason to, considering they were trespassing and using them in an "unsafe" place. If minors weren't allowed to own/play (whatever you want to call it) with Airsoft guns, they wouldn't have to give them back, but they did. By keeping the guns from anyybody, they could still avoid doing anything to Trooper (the almost-Army guy) and keep kids away from Airsoft guns. I know, it's a little hard to explain, but it kinda makes sense. Why give back the guns unless there was no law being broken by having minors use them? I think I'm safe using Airsoft guns now.
