I think Minky has. From what I've heard they are good.

One more thing - should I buy this gun from an American retailer? If so, which one. Or should I find a good used gun?

for your first gun, you probably won't want to get it used. As a newbie who lacks in experience of opening up guns and working on gearboxes, you won't really be able to quickly fix a problem that could arise if you get sold a gun that craps out in the first couple of weeks. atleast if you buy from a good retailer, you can send it back and they will work on it. As for stateside or foriegn, i opt for the former. I feel much more confident that if a problem arises, i don't have to talk to someone half way around the world who speaks a different language. I'd rather give Mike Sabatino a call and ship the gun to him (takes one day) if there's a problem. I've personally only bought from www.airsofttoys.com www.wolverinetactical.com and www.mdairsoft.com . All three are great companies with some of the best pricing around. Mdairsoft frequently beats prices from hong kong retailers. Although all of this is not to say that buying from hong kong retailers is bad, it's just not my preference. If you were going to order from overseas, i would stick with www.dentrinityshop.com and www3.wargameclub.com/WGC_Shop/They're the two most reputable hong kong retailers around. make sure you factor in shipping when you order. From hong kong for a big gun (aeg, shot gun, etc.) shipping can be anywhere between 50-80 where as shipping from most local places will usually be less than 20. If you do buy a gas gun, gas cannot be shipped by air, so your entire package will be shipped via surface mail. From hong kong, it will take weeks, even months i some cases. Generation from what i've heard is decent, but they specialize in mid-grade and mi-price replica's with nothing too fancy, but nothing too crappy either. Go over to www.airsoftplayers.com and take a look at their seller rating section to get an idea of what various enthuiasts from all over the counrty feel about different retailers.

Actually, GenAir can get anything WGC stocks, as they are their supplier. Peter from GenAir is a great guy, and yes I've bought from them in the past. He was very easy to deal with and prompt in helping me get my order together.
As for your other points, I would stick to a US based retailer for your first few big purchases, especially with the Customs situation as of late. The savings you might get from ordering overseas can disappear fast if/when you get hit with import duties and fees. Play it safe and get it from a US dealer, that way they're taking the risk of importing, and it will also be easier to get assistance from them if there are any problems with your gun.

I've pulled off quite a few kills against AEGs with my old TM M3 Shorty, so I wouldnt say he doesnt stand a chance... be evasive, sneaky, and quite and he will have a blast taking out ye full auto monkeys.

Patrick, I understand your concern for my well-being. My philosophy is start out with a decent gun, learn how to be effective no matter what you have in your hands and when you get good enough upgrade to a exceptional weapon - then you will be feared by all.
