Now, this isn't about BB weight, what I want to know is, what brand of BB's would you guys reccommend? Also, are Excel Bio BB's any good? Since they're biodegradable, does that mean they have less quality than normal BB's?

excel bios are among the higher grade bbs that i trust running through my tightbore barrel. They haven't jammed yet. I like to reffer this thread to anybody inquiring about bb quality. it's really a great resource. www.airsoftohio.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=928&forum=18&19if you really want to spend the money, 0.29g Maruzen APS Grand Master's seem to be the way to go.

Excel's are good, that's what we've run through our guns for the past couple months and I can report no problems.

I usually opt for Excel's (.20's) also, mainly because I get a few hundred more than the Marui ones for the same price. Marui's seem to be slightly slicker than Excel's but eh..they work fine for me. Just with anything though you'll once in a while find a lemon. The last bag of Excel's I receieved were horrible, most were off center or had an ugly grainy finish. Took forever to sort through them all.

kool, thanx guys for the info. I just have one more Q. Are all excel bb's biodegradable? Because sometimes I see them advertised as Excel Bio BB's, and sometimes I just see Excel BB's. I'm kinda concerned about this, because me and some friends are most likely gonna be playing in the woods around us. And a few of our moms would like us to use the bio bb's. (So as to not "litter" the enviroment with "plastic pieces of junk")

NO not all excel bbs are bio. I prefer the maruzin bbs, they are what i started out with and i have only found tokyo marui that come close. I actually dont like ezcel bbs all that much, the only reason i go for them is for the quantity compared to tokyo mauri. BUT NO not all eacels are bio, thye will say on the package. also, excel 25s through my classic army mp5(350 fps) tend to do the "wild fling" even with low hop up, simply too much power and not slick enough bbs. thats why i like maruzin or tokyo, you wont have that problem excels are lower quality though

Derick,...... I am not aware of any Excels that ARE NOT biodegradeable. ?? Also what low quality, I have shot it all, Maruzen, Excel, TM, AE, and I have to say that in my 5 plus years in the sport Excels have been about the best I have seen. You might have gotten a bad bag, I have before. As far as another great BB, I use Inertia's I have had no jams, and have been really pleased with them, but I also use Excels. Excels or Inertias, the Inertias are black and they are good for outdoor combat so ya cant be traced back.

I've been pleased with Excel (what I use most), Marui, Maruzen, and KSC BBs. I also had a big ass bag of those red .20s that Airsoft Atlanta used to sell, and those were just as good as the other brands I've used.

Real quick here. Reading the BB post by greencow, a question popped in my mind. What brand in most accurate? like said before Depends on the shooter, the gun, the gram, and the distance I prefer .23's made by excel ,but I have about 2,500 .25 (for pratice shooting and aiming sights, scopes and fooling around also good for windy conditions)and 1,800 of .2 (for cqb) and 10,000 of .23's (genral purpose used on days where its nice out with anything between no wind to decent amount of it.)

So it seems like most people prefer Excel. Well thats good to know, considering I was going to end up buying that brand before I decided to ask this question anyways. (even though I do not have a gun as of yet, so buying the bb's would be pointless, but I digress)

I too have once used the Red bb's Airsoft Atlanta sells and I can confirm they're great. They might not be as slick as say a Marui bb, but hey, you get a bag of 5000!
;D

Yeah, definately excel. that is also what i use, and my parents liked the "biodegradable" aspect of them. Also, the 3700 per bag for $18 is a fair price , at least i think so, and with my tight budget, I get a lot for a little. Most all of the excels are good, but yes you can every once in a while get bad one ( i found one shaped like a pellet ) Overall great BB's
