why do the airsoft players have there eyes blurred in the pics?

If the pics are from people playing in Hong Kong, it might be that playing around old buildings is illegal and thus having photographic evidence would be a bad thing to put on the web. That was my first thought when I saw pics like that.

Some think it makes them look like real operators. Most people censor the eyes on real operators' pictures because of the identity issue (safety's sake).

I saw it on team socal pics at airsoft extreme. I also saw it on some other pics 2.

Well, I blur/pixelize the eye area or entire face in most of my photos because like Newman said most Operators wish to keep thier identities a secret.
Sure I may not be a real Operator, but hey, with the gear and the guns I do look like one (kinda!). So as they say When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
