Does anyone have any experience with the Paraclete TX-II (see "http://www.lightfighter.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=83") mag pouch? The idea of stacking pistol mag pouches in front of my rifle mags sounds appealing and probably still makes for a lower profile than stacking multiple rifle mags, but I worry about the lidless friction retention system.
The alternative is just to get seperate pistol and rifle mag pouches, which costs more but would be more flexible and would let me stick to the low profile concept. My gut's big enough without stacking multiple mags over it.

Hmm, though I don't have any experience with them, I would say they're a sound concept. Lidless M4 pouches, especially from Paraclete, should be just fine. Hell, I wish I had found these before now...

I've always liked the look of those pouches and have been thinking about ordering one to use as a shingle on my TT MAV. If you ever decide to order one, let me know how you like it. Here's some info I found over on lightfigher: What kind of rig will you be using this sexy item with?

I have a plan revolving around a Tactical Tailor Modular Tac-Vest. Other accessories remain in flux as a flail around different web sites and tweak the spreadsheet where I'm budgeting the whole thing.
Thanks for finding that comment. I think it inclines me toward seperate pouches. I'm not agile enough to deliberately do anything that would knock a mag loose, but I live my life in fear of Murphy.
