Yea, hopefully soon they'll jump on that design....magazine with it's own trigger guard My only complaint, though this is without having seen them first hand, is that they seem to be a bit small. My big hands, coupled with gloves, wouldn't have an easy time getting my finger(s) through.

Doesn't look like an improvement over the current magpul design to me *shrug*
Does look neat though.

i like it's looks, but i think the old magpulls would work better, that hole is too small to fit a finger in for good enough leverage. and i'm always a fan of taping some string onto a mag in a loop for an affordable magpull.

Excuse' muah, but what the HELL was the point in a "mag pull" in the first place? Wow! now there is a handle on my mag to RIP it out of the magwell faster, so then i can take the now attached to my hand, magazine, put it in my vest and whip another one in? Armalite's design for the mag release button already lets them just fall out basically when you press the release button! So the "pull"ing part is a mystery to me, the only reason i could see for it is either hanging them by the magpull off of your vest for quick external grabbing, or using it to dress up as "Edward Magazine Hands" for halloween! but i will admit it does add a lot of "flava" to a "customized" armalite gun! other than that, it beats me

They're made so that pulling the mags out of your vest is easier. You'll notice that it's usually a tight fit for most vests to get the right amount of mags in.

Thanks, I didnt even think of that Jacko! I was thinking of metal gear solid II (BEST...GAME...EVER... cant wait for snake bite to come out!) Well anyway in MGS2 he hangs mags upsidedown on the outside of his vest, by the straps on his "web vest" and when he needs one he just rips it off it's (magpul?) thing and slaps it into the gun! Clever, but if you are one for lots of standard mags, youd have a whole ghillie suit of mags! (Itd be a nice SWAT or Navy look with all those MP5 mags... mmmmm... yummy)

What do you think these things retail too?
Why would you buy a magpul when you could just get some duct tape and an old piece of string or something? (I know that costs money but seems a lot cheaper)

Magpuls pretty much *won't* come off, unless you're making a concerted effort to do so. Duct tape has lots of inherent weaknesses, simply because it's based upon an adhesive. Magpuls are also just about indestructible...tape/paracord...well...isn't.
Plus, magpuls look more "professional"...or just "cleaner" as it may be.

Hmmmm... electrical tape and para cord works great for me and the sf guys I know. Still cool idea and pic.

Not only is para cord and 500 MPH tape cheaper than the actual "magpull" brand, they are also size customizable, and much easier to remove if necessary.
Since many actual service members use the aforementioned, and the fact that magpulls were based upon such, I feel it to be the more realistic and anomalous.

[glow=red,2,300]WHAT?! ARE YOU DOUBTING THE POWER OF DUCT TAPE?[/glow] If it doesn't work just use more ;D
But I do honestly understand where you're coming from.

These new magpulls look great!
The old design worked like a charm, but often caused problems when trying to fit more magazines into a mag pouch. Since this new design keeps the magpul strictly on the baseplate of the magazine I'm sure the problem is now a thing of the past.
I look forward to buying some of these once they become available.
mmmm@SHOT show goodness.

If you're wondering about duct-tape and para cord magpulls, have a look at Hado's M4 in the gallery. I'm pretty sure you can see a few of his mags there.
