Woohoo, just got my Swiss Alpenflage camo today. Ordered it from Sportsmans Guide last friday and it was waiting for me on the doorstep earlier this morning. Most pics on the net don't do the camo justice at all. It isn't as ugly and bright as many people think it is. It rules! Thanks to Ballista for snapping a quick picture of me for your viewing pleasure. heehee. I'll try to get more pics later on with me in the woods to see how well I blend in.

Wowie, that stuff works good! I can't even see you from the hips down ;D That black LBV looks really nice with those colors too. My woodland BDUs came yesterday, I should get a pic of me in my gear too...

Ugly? Naaah! Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I happen to like the camo pattern. So much in fact that I ordered me a Swiss Alpenflage field jacket. It came via Fedex yesterday along with a backpack that can be attached to the jacket. For being issued in 1973 the jacket is in pretty damn good condition. It's thick, heavy and quite warm too, but the coolest thing about it is the built in sniper veil hidden in the hood. I was going to get another picture of me in the new gear, but the crappy digital camera was out of space and I didn't feel like going through all the pics to delete any crap ones. So..I'll take one tomorrow. *me wonders what camo I should get next*

Good stuff eh!? Looks great too. Mines not as nice, kinda' worn, but does the trick. Check out German Flectarn too for summer wear - more green, similar pattern. Now if only I could score some of the elusive digital camo our Marines have been issued. That stuff makes ya' invisible!

News Flash- The Marine corps are looking into ways of making troop invisible. They have budgeted 50 million dollars to the project, and internal sources say their top results have been had with Invisiblility cloaks. One source said that the project was highly influenced by the movie Harry Potter...
