Woohoo, just won an auction for a nice 3-Point Tactical Sling over on Ebay. $13 was the winning bid, not too bad at all methinks. Wish it will get here before the Skirmish this Saturday, but I kinda doubt it will. Newman, you might be interested in this right? Check ebay!

Remember Hadoken, wise, wise Hadoken, that young Newman, your Airsoft apprentice, has no job and only limited birthday money, in addition to an upcoming holdiay in which he must pay for gifts to give to important people. Please understand Newman's problems, wise, wise Hadoken.

Ive used slings on a coupe guns ive skirmished with and overall I think that they arent really useful enough to justify the hassle. Most of the time you are carrying the gun in a firing position and they get in the way and get caught on ranches and stuff.

however, when using a 3-point sling it helps facilitate a rapid transfer to sidearm if the need should arise...or if you just wanna use your pistol...

i guess so. I havent really had a time when i needed a backup for a reason other than the gun stopped working (dead battery or such). In that case i placed it on the ground and pulled the glock.
moot point (is that a real word) for me anyway since I dont have a holster =(. I end up carrying it around in my pocket...

The Classic Army 3pt. Tactical Sling arrived today! After studying the pathetic sample picture Classic Army included with the sling for over 20 mins I couldn't figure out how to hook it up properly. trust me, it was wacky. After I got it set up right it was like a dream come true. My SD6 was always ready for action, and my hands were free to do whatever else I needed like reload or switch to my sidearm. Everything is perfect! Edit - BEaaaan!: I'll let you try it out at our next game, bet you'll like it.

Hey Spectre! Tell Unnamed about your "pocket holster" experience, or what later became known as "Find the USP". Now how does that saying go....oh yeah....(I may have this a bit wrong) "A rifle without a sling is like a pistol without a holster."
During a fight (real or otherwise) you really don't want to set your weapons down or give them up for any reason. Then they become fair game for others and are prone to being moved or hidden by the "weapon fairies", usually right when you need them the most. Best to keep them on your person, real or otherwise.
That having been said, I need to get some slings (I have none), just having a hard time deciding on which one!

well it was down to me and one other guy. it was my friend's gun and i put it down in front of the spectator group who picked it up. if anyone had tried to shoot me with it it would have ended with nothing happening since i used every last ouce of power from the battery. Were only like 10 guys and everyone is friends, no one would even try to steal it since a good 5 people saw me put it down in front of them.
About the pocket holster thing- im going to be in trouble some day I expect, but im hoping to get a holster for christmas. Problem is that I use a glock 18, and carry it on full auto, and it shoots around 400 fps. if I do hit the triger some time it will probably end with me rolling around on the ground...

Very familiar with the Glock 18C, as that is also my airsoft sidearm, albeit with a number of upgrades. My registered CCW gun is a Glock 26, and I shot IPSC with a Glock 10mm. It's a very safe gun....until you put you finger near the trigger. Then you better be intending to shoot something! ;D Gun safety 101. I hope you're not telling us you experience accidental discharges from time to time!? <OK, OK hold the jokes everyone!!>
I carry my 18C in semi and make sure I target what I shoot (we've been here before). First shots miss, I always have full auto. One of the deadliest & most famous gunslingers of the Old West (and of course the darn name escapes me...perhaps Wyatt Earpe) was not known to be the fastest draw or to fan the hammer. He was known for acquiring his targets and aiming his gun with speed & accuracy. He dropped many faster draws, as well as those that sprayed bullets at him.
I was not questioning your setting down a weapon in the instance in which you spoke, just stating general facts and relating a humorous anecdote about pocket holsters. Just remember (more so in real life situations), the weapon you drop is the one that may end up killing you.
