Fill me in im ready for another laugh. please dont let me get started with some of the Bull$^*# I saw yesterday, i just thought the people I saw doing it was'nt worth my time. I expect to hear from all the people that did'nt have the balls to bring it to my attention the day of the event. Brick, you need to stop talking. After Blind Fury and yesterday, you're on very thin ice.

Now now, lets all think happy thoughts and drink hot cocoa. Personally I didn't see a single person cheat Saturday. I did, however, hear a bunch of people whining. To me, it makes it less fun. If you "think" you hit them just because it was headed their way, you don't have a right to say you got them. Please, to keep it fun for both parties, just go with the game. Cheaters will eventually be weeded out. Hearing everyone whine about it though is annoying as heck. Safety issues are important to this game, so I have to agree with Zorak on that. If your doing something deemed unsafe by others but not you, stop.

completely agreed^^^^^^ with what was said^^^ ;D ;D. I just saying that if there was a problem that i personally was involved in, i wish i was brought to my attention at some point at the event. i personally didnt feel or direct any hostility towards anyone and if it's a "hit" issue i feel i played very honorable as always. If hostilities were sensed or someone had that vibe i appolligize, I play the game very intensely and my emotions my get carried away at times but i dont mean any harm to anyone, remember we're all adults at this particular event so pulling someone aside if there is a problemor getting events host attention is the way this should be handled, not through a post with aar and people just wanting to thank ACO, Geist and anyone else having to do with putting the event together.

hey ya'all! another great saturday of CQB and i'm tired and sore as hell! (a good thing!!) the plot was twisted and the action was non stop which led to a great afternoon of fun for all and thank you all for another great ACO event. it was good to see the GK guys get some shooting in as they had worked very hard at the previous op and needed some trigger time as their reward. also thanks to dutch ,bishop, kung fu and all the others that once again gave us the day! i agree with zorak and the others that safety cannot be compromised and one way to think about it is what would you do different if the guns were real?? just because they are airsoft,it's no reason to be less than carefull! granted, you may not be killed from an accidential discharge of 6mm but i don't want to face the rest of my life blind either. i would not be able to perform my job if i got my eye shot out and think for a minute how much your life would change from that? enough on that subject! the sportsmanship was very good from my point of view, a few incidents out in the courtyard were kind of hard to call but i for one felt that due to the extreme ranges it was a draw. i sure as hell got my ass shot up more than once and dealt out a few of my own and it was good! ;D the event itself was very good and again, the guys that dream up the story and then figure out how to play it out are getting good at it, i really enjoy how the twists and turns go as the action takes place and it must be very much like a real sceanerio would go because it is always taking a strange turn ,good or bad, and it's never over until it's over!!! excellant job ACO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto Zorak's comment about safety. It is the most basic cornerstone of our sport. If people start getting injuries in goggles-off zones by people "dry firing" or just not paying attention, how long do you think it will be before we won't be able to get insurance anymore (or before the price becomes so prohibitive that we're paying $100 per event just to cover costs)? I had a blast at this event. I thought that the "snow blindness" aspect of it was a cool effect, and as someone who got murdered trying to come in from the courtyard once, it made a huge difference. I also was one of the unfortunate bastards who set off a booby trap. It was when the lights had just gone off upstairs, and in the darkness the trip wire was totally invisible. BLAM! the ironic thing was that once a medic reached us, I got an instant heal card and poor Talisman (who was right behind me when I set off the booby trap) got and instant death card. Oh, the humanity. Sorry, Tali As for calling or not calling hits, everyone I saw was playing it by the numbers. What I did notice was that once I got out doors, it was extremely difficult to track where my white bbs were going with all the snow on the ground. I have no idea if I was shooting anywhere close to anyone. And if people did call out, I have no idea whether it was me that shot them or one of my teammates. I saw one guy upstairs (shooting out from the elevated window over the courtyard) who I thought took a hit off his goggles. I asked him about it then and there, and he said that no, it hit the window. Cool by me, play on. No bitching, no cursing, no swearing, no raised voices. Ghettobrick, I think that this is what people are talking about when they make the "thin ice" comments. By your own admission you get intense when you're playing. It's cool to be intense. It's not cool to be so intense that it causes a problem for other people. every time I've intereacted with you, you've been very cool, very laid back, and very well spoken. But your shouting match at Blind Fury last summer has become a thing of legend. It's the example that some of us give to newbies as a paragon example of bad sportsmanship. Taunting, celebrating, cursing out other players, screaming obscenities, and being so focused on the game that you forget that it's just a game gives people a bad impression of you. I know you're a decent guy. You know you're a decent guy. Show everyone else that you're a decent guy by refraining ffom doing stuff like that on the field. If you relax and just have fun with it, there won't be any need to get pissed off. And an apology or a kind word goes a long way. A perfect example: Wolfe shot me through a stairway door as I was running across the hallway. I did what I was supposed to do, pulled out my red rag and stayed where I was hit. The fire continued. I knew that he wasn't trying to light me up and that he probably hadn't heard me call out, so I yelled "RED RAG!!!" at the top of my lungs. After the game, I approached him personally and explained that I wasn't pissed but that I figured he hadn't heard me the first time over all the firing going on. He totally understood, and all is cool. Another example: When Bishop shot Hawkeye in the courtyard towards the end of the scenario. Hawkeye was on the run and didn't feel the hit. It's happened to us all, on both the giving and the receiving end. Bishop didn't curse Hawkeye out, didn't even express anything more than an "I hate it when that happens" during the game. And afterwards, when we told Hawkeye about it, he was like, "sorry dude, I didn't know." No yelling, no raised voices, no sarcastic insults. Both guys totally understood and all is cool. But nobody wants to play with guys who take stuff personally, and get in peoples' faces over stuff. Ghettobrick, you're a good, solid, tactically-minded player. You seem to have a good sense of humor and I for one would like to see you continue to participate in MIA events. It says a lot that you're willing to travel all the way from Cleveland to visit us. Just remember that you need to relax and stay calm on the field. Just have fun, dude. It's what the game's all about.

I want everyone to know the "Blindfury" Yes i did get out of hand there and i appoligized personally to those who were involved. Though that does'nt excuse the behavior, this was my first event and it was clearly a misunderstanding, I do however think that i have worked on these issues and I will continue to do so. I'm not getting defensive i just want all to know that im not out to spoil anyones goodtime and on the other hand nor do i want mine spoiled. As i said i mean know harm and i do appoligize to any who felt that i did. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ghettobrick [/b], you're a good, solid, tactically-minded player. To all of those holding 1 event against me(blindfury) is bolonga, you know who you are and so do I!! grow up and get over it!

Another great day at the fabulous ACO CQB facility! It was a great time playing with GK and the folks from MTASC. Mad props to my Delta/Gamma Team members TV, Mooch, Helena, and Bigmack, along with our very worthy Chechen adversaries.
Playing as a medic was a very interesting experience, and one that was highly rewarding as well. Sorry to all those folks who drew an instant death card. There's only so much I can do! I spent more time working my way towards the wounded (including sliding on my knees past doorways and using wounded as human shields as I "dragged" them to cover) than shooting at the enemy. No less fun, though!
One of the things I felt was an asset to the Op was the relatively strict uniform requirements. This tended to keep friendly-fire incidents to a minimum and made for some tense moments in the dark. When the lights go out, color vision goes, too, and all bets are off!
I took a few photos and a movie; I'll post those later as I am stuck at WSU right now.

Holding Blind Fury against you is only a grudge if you don't repeat that kind of behavior. If you DO repeat that kind of behavior (which in some ways you have, though certainly not to the same extent), it's no longer a grudge, it's someone else opinion of you that you are only reinforcing.
Does this make sense? Seriously, dude, the best way to go is to build your reputation as a good player who people like and respect. If people like and respect you, and if you contribute positively to every Op you attend, you'll find that people are always more than willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. No one will have anything to hang a grudge on.

Thank you ACO for putting on another awesome event, all of us from The Rat Pack and Socom had a blast. AND Wolfe from ACO you did a kickass job on the t-shirt. my team and I are soon going to be having somebody make up some shirts for us and if your up to it you'd be my first choice.
i would have to say that for the checnians being a rag tag group of guys i think we did a great job of holding our own. moments of the game that stick out: (the full urban camo guy with headwrap),myself and another guy taking left flank, perfect tactical movement by all, i really dont think that those 3 Russians holding the truck knew what hit them. The look on Jacko's face when i popped out from the box and blasted him, awesome peripheral vision you almost had me, but none the less Frostee avenged your death rather quickly. and then there was the knife fight between Gary(GK) and myself, he opened a bathroom door in bay 3 killed the guy infront of my with a knife kill judo chop and started to hack at me when i blocked it with my knife(hand) and finally slashed him across the chest, it was hiliarious one of those moments that i wish were on videotape. it musta looked like a girly cat fight the way we were flailing out hands towards one another. thanks Gary that made my day. and i wanted to apologize to the guys in the bathroom(GK) that i made drag my dead fat butt outta the doorway, just try'n to keep it real. Savage i must say that you need to go back out to medical school you saved like 3 guys and killed 25+ with your medic cards...way to go you know what they say 3 outta 25 aint bad.... and thank you to all of the MIAirsoftCorps that made it out here at the last minute, Wookie, Fishman, and Savage. its always a blast teaming up with you guys.
and ill give all of you the same advise about calling hits that i give all the rest of my teammates. if you think you hit somebody but they arent calling there hits SHOOT'EM AGAIN, AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN until they call HIT. no amount of bickering or yelling will help the situation at all. sometimes the people cant feel it, and if they know they are cheating then they arent going to admit it anyways, just go out there and have fun. since there isnt any prize money or awards anyways i really dont understand why anyone would cheat . i really hope i dont have to hear anymore bickering about cheating anymore. it's childish and all of us that play with honor can rise above this.

This being my second OP ever and only coming into the sport since late last fall I had a blast and quickly falling in love with the sport. Being the n00b on ACO I am glad to be part of a team of great guys. And it is also great to make friends so quickly in the MIA community. To all of the guys in GK, Rat Pack, MTAS... you guys rock. You guys are real fun to go head to head or fight along side of. By the way GK, the hostage rescue you performed in round 2 where you killed the lights and handled your business was slick. I was one of 3 hostages with one terrorist in that small ass room under the stairs and I was POSITIVE we going to get lit. But your guys didn't rush in, they handled it smoothly, one shot. Anyways I will quit kissing butt, but I just wanted to say it was nice meeting more of you guys I see on the boards.

I also wanted to give mad public props to Fishman for his super-sniper Mk23 shot on me all the way across Bay 2 into the dark Bay 3. It pinged ever so nicely off a stair railing and tagged me in the shoulder. Nice shot!
Big thanks to ACO for hosting this event. I had a lot of fun, and can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

You could have knocked me over with a springer shot when I heard Munin call himself out at that range.

Hey I didn't even know I hit him, by the time the bb travled that far I was already dead myself. And I still didn't know I hit him until he told me that I did. I was all pissed off at my self because I thought I got myself killed before I even got the chance to kill someone.
