Duh!, ye can't get any more tactical than this: 1 Snell Rated Full Faced Motorcycle Helmet. 2 Double Thick Face Shield. 3 Helmax Weather Guard 415-752-3200. 4 Football Shoulder/Arm Guards. 5 Hockey Elbow & Midarm Gaurds. 6 Bullet Proof Vest w/steel insert. 7 Hard Plastic Street Hockey Hip Guards. 8 Hockey Forearm Guard. 9 Heavy Leather Gloves. (Isotoners are OK.) 10 Hockey Knee Guards. 11 Hockey Shin Guards. 12 Steel Toed Combat Boots. 13 Under All This... Foam Padded One Piece. According to MFI that's what we SHOULD be wearing while we skirmish, so..get ready guys, next event I'll be checking if you all have the right gear. *sigh*

Heh, well to answer the question on what a real tactical vest is......it would be a Level IIIA body armored vest made by a good company, like Point Blank, Safariland etc. usually modular, dont have to be though. The blackhawk vest isnt a tactical vest per se, they are pretty good, but I'm more of a fan of something modular

MFI is the stupidest most annoying piece of shit I have ever seen. Reading their FAQ makes me want to beat them to death.

What you’re describing is body armor. A tactical vest is a vest that is worn over your clothing or in some cases over body armor to accommodate your needs. Such as holding your magazines, maps, gadgets, bbs, pronos. That’s why it’s tactical; it gives you a sense of heightened tactical efficiency. No offense dude but… DRRRR!

what your'e describing is an assault vest. A tactical vest is a vest used in a tactical situation, and if you dont wear one with armor/plates your stupid, plain and simple. There arnt many tactical teams that will wear a Blackhawk vest into anywhere. They make good gear, but their vests wouldnt be worn by any tactical entry team member

For sake of argument, I'll call up one of the guys in SRT and get his take on it, but I feel it will be much of the same as mine

Viking, I do not know what kind of gun you use, but does the Crossdraw vest have room to hold mp5 mags as the primary? also, what kinda pistol do you have holstered?

he has since sold the vest....but he used to have AK mags and a tac master in it...
so it should hold MP5 mags without any problems.

I now have a similar vest...well...pretty much the same one. and you're in luck, my primary is an mp5. it can hold 9 mp5 mags in the three pockets if you sqeeze them in, but two fit more comfortably.

Yeah, i used a Mp5 with my Cross Draw vest,a nd i think the mp5 mags fit perfectly. I actually prefer then to be put in witht he bend going outward, instead of to the side, if that makes any sense . The one gripe that i have witht he vest, bsides that it wont stop a 7.62 , is that the front sights on alt of guns seem to get cought on the opening nead the front end of the gun. My Colt especially, i didn't really have a problem with glocks, but i dunno about Barettas

yeah, i put them in that way too, they just seem to fit better.
I have a glock, and i never have that problem...although it's a g19, so the barrel doesn't even stick out far enough for the front sight to get caught on something.
Mikecatt13, does your tac master get caught on yours?
