Registration for URGENT CAUSE is rapidly filling up. There is a limit of 60 players, so if your interested, please register ASAP.

Two TAC guys have been named the commanders for each force, CAR15A2 will lead the DPLA and The Limey will lead the SOCOM force.

Forums are also in place for the two forces. Access to these forums will only be granted to registered and paid players attending URGENT CAUSE. If you have paid and do not yet have access to your appropriate forums, contact me.

The forums can be found at this link, but will only be visible to authorized users.

The missions and objectives for each force will also be posted in those forum in the coming days.

URGENT CAUSE is moving ahead full speed with 42 players (plus 16 Team TAC members) already registered. There are only 2 week left in the registration period, so if you're interested, register now.

At this time, here are the packages being raffled off. The exact compostion of each package may change slightly, but the the prizes listed will not. Additionally, the order the prizes will be raffled off in has yet to be determined. Additionally, we have more commitments from manufacturers and retailers for raffle prizes, but we will only list the items that we have obtained as to not mislead anyone about the items being raffled off or your chances of winning. Okay, the event forums are now in place. You need to be a paid / registered player and registered on the HALO website to view the forums. Mission and squad information is or will be posted in these forums.

Please do what you can to get paid and registered so you can view these forums. The information that will be posted there can only increase your forces chances of winnings.

Additionally, squads have tentatively been created and players assigned. This information is contained in the forums. If there are any issues, let me know.

In closing, all squads will need a squad leader, medic, RTO, and a crewman. A sniper is optional. Please get your teams / squads organized and assign these roles. Let me know who is doing what role or post it in the appropriate forum.

The only other update is the Airsoft Arms (Locutus and Darkstar) have come thru with a $100 store credit that will be raffled off to one person at the event.

URGENT CAUSE WEBSITE SERVER IS DOWN

There are some technical difficulties at the hosting service for the URGENT CAUSE web site. Keep checking, but right now the site is offline. This is an issue with the host and not the website or your computers.

If you have questions about your registration or status, please email me. I can't access the online registration page until the server is fixed. I do have my hard copy that was last updated at 5:00 PM on 7/19/04.

Additionally, there is only about 1 week left before the registration dead line. Still need a few payments before then. If you still need to pay, PayPal me $20 to my PayPal account, [e-mail]

Registration Update

The website is back up!

We've got 57 players signed up for URGENT CAUSE. So there are only 3 more slots available.

Additionally we have 31 paid players.

The first 60 players to register and pay are the ones that will be permitted to attend URGENT CAUSE. First come, first served.

AHHH! The website is down again. I've got a backup site in place, but it is not as cool. I wil inform everyone as to whats going on via this forum and email. TAC will decide by 5:00 today as to what we are going to do. We can't count on an unreliable website.

Okay, there is only 4 days left for registration and payment. There is room for 60 players and right now I have 77 registrations. The first 60 players to pay will be the attendees for this event. So if you want to play, you better get your money in ASAP.

Right now the forces are almost equal. 38 on the SOCOM/Tan Force and 39 on the DPLA/Green Froce.

FYI, Team TAC will not accept any walk ons for this event. Attendees must be registered and paid by the 29th of July. Team TAC will not accept any payment at the event.

hope everyone is getting excited about URGENT CAUSE.
I know that Team TAC is very pumped for this event
and can't wait. The weather looks like it should be
wonderful for URGENT CAUSE, Partly Cloudy, High: 76,

Just remember rain or shine URGENT CAUSE will take
place, this is MilSim after all.

As far as I know, there has only been one cancelation
and that spot has already been filled by an alternate
player. So, both forces are roughly equal.

Just a couple of quick reminders / comments for you
all to keep in mind.

1) There will be no charging options at the field, so
bring charged batteries and/or your own charging
solutions.

2) There will be no sources of drinking water, again,
bring your own

3) There will be no on site source of bb's, so make
sure you're set before you come.

4) The field is very trecherous. Be careful out
there. If you don't like how a patch of terrain looks
go around it.

5) Respect all field boundries. All players will be
given maps of the field. Boundries will be obviously
marked with tape or by terrain features. Players
caught operating out of bounds will be asked to leave.

6) KEEP ALL REPLICAS BOXED, BAGGED, OR COVERED WHEN IN
THE PARKING LOT. Replicas may only be exposed when
you are in the playing area.

7) There will be no substantial break, if any, during
URGENT CAUSE. You will be provided an MRE to eat in
the field if you want.

8) Goggles on at all times when on the field of play.
Any player caught with out eye protection may be asked
to leave.

9) Please try to be good sports. No cheating,
swearing, or physical confrontations will be
permitted.

10) This is the most important reminder. DO NOT SHOT
DH1, Mite, ME, or any other TAC member acting as a
referee.
