Well everyone has had that time in their life when they final get to hold their beatifull rifle for the first time. That first smile on their face where they flip the selector to full auto and just go around plinking.
Heres the story:
Time 12:03am. Finally got off work. Was at a bowling party. Could only think about that beatiufull 1:1 replica M4A1 sitting in my room. Its magnificent battery charging on the well for 4 hours. Dad unplugged it at 6. Its just got to sit their without fulfillment of its duty.
Time 12:15am. Plugged the battery into the gun loaded up the high cap magazine. Semi-Auto. Three trigger pulls. One shot fires.
Till about 12:20am I was "Breaking In" the magazine. I didnt have any silicone spray to lubricate it up so I had to get this magazine working some how. The Full-Auto was simply blowing out air.
Around 12:25 full auto was still having some problems. I was getting about a 5 round burst then a few misfires then it would start back up working. THEN It worked. I was sitting in this computer chair aiming at my pillow. Obviously underestimating the power of the 300+ FPS. Next thing I know its got a whole the size of a softball into the pillowcase and a hole the size of a marble in the pillow. I wasn't sad one bit. Its just a pillow. Now I can get to bed knowing the power of my first shots of my rifle.
Not much a Tale of Valor. But an example of "A bike on christmas morning".
You've all felt this. To some extent. So dont judge my story. Its the little things that matter.
