They are bringing back the Asahi's unique propelling technique with some newer rifles. I cant recall who is and what model it is but keep your eye out.
If someone knows what im talking about please help...

Rabbit are you talking about how you pump each shell with air? If you are referring to the individual shells being filled, I did hear of a gas m700 that each shell holds the gas instead of the mag. Probably the most unique gun ever made the Asahi M40.

Yep big boss thats what im talking about. It uses shells to contain the propellant rather than the magazine or bolt.

So I get how the Asahi works, but how did that Smokey's M82 fire the projectile? I appologize if they explained it in the video, I had a hell of a time getting it to play for me. And... I officially want both... in my pants... for sex.

all i know is that the Smokies M82 has a spring-blowback system. I have no clue how it works, but I do know that they are notorious for busting the optic's reticle. a buddy of mine has gone through a couple of scopes just from the wierd recoil. Its not that its a lot (but for an airsoft gun, its enormous) but its just the harsh vibrations mess it up or something.

Well I guess if you're going to spend the money on an expensive replica, you should get some optics that are good too.

You mean get a real steel scope. Airgun scopes cant handle the recoil of real steels.
I want a wood bolt action really bad. But the inconsistency keeps me from buying another gas rifle

What exactly happens to the scopes how do they get ruined??? the reticle falls out of place. Ive got one of his scopes somewhere in my room, ill take a picture of the reticle once I locate it. the reticle is just made out of a very thin metal wire, with a harsh vibration, the wire can start to bend or fall apart completely.

Ohh, I see that you own the gun, how does it shoot? Is it worth the money??

I actually own the VFC one (gas one)... There really isn't any M82A1 that is fieldworthy. I'm in the process of milling some parts that will hopefully boost the performance of my M82. (crossing my fingers!)
If your a collector, it is worth the money, but if you dont know how to machine your own parts, and plan on fielding the thing... You better off just buying something else. They keep their value very well actually.

psvoorheis, there is one for sale in the commerce section for $300, you should go look for it. You wont commonly find them in good condition anymore.
