This weekend (sunday) I attended OP: Area 51 at SFOD's field, it was a great OP by the way, but i was a little sick afterwards.
When I saw a jeep wrangler come up to the parking area I knew that Pearldrummer arrived, and I picked up my TM shotgun with 4 shells from him. We had some slight shipping problems, but we all worked it out when we organized to meet at the OP, thanks Pearldrummer ;D.
Upon first impressions I knew the gun was used, no problem, I like my guns a little battle-torn. The shotgun was HUGE! I mean it was almost the size of my m14 Socom, and that's pretty big. Despite the huge size, the gun is very light, which is actually a savior because you don't get too annoyed lugging it around with a sling as a secondary. The gun overall is PERFECT for CQB in size, and can operate (with some skill) as a secondary in woodland.
The first couple of games I did not use my shotgun. But then i broke down and slung it to my back and went out. The first game i used it i was stuck in the Embassy A.K.A a sweet ass building at the SFOD field. My goggles were acting up that game so i just handed my shot gun to my good friend Peter, and i went back to the car to change em' out. So basically I did not get to use the shotgun . Good news was that there was a few more games left, and my friend Peter got some kills with it! This only excited me. He got around 2-3 kills, on the stairway of the embassy . This leads me to think that CQB is where this gun really is needed for. The next game I got to use my shotgun. By this time I, myself, knew the range (75-100 feet), power (230 FPS) and some perks on the gun after testing it out a little bit, so I was pretty much ready to go with it.
In the next couple of games I got 2 kills with it. I mean I find this orgasmic, just because it's a springer and a freakin' shotgun, this must excite some people out there. The kills were basic, simple and accurate. With the first one I threw done my AEG and shot the guy in the back without him seeing. On the second kill I was in some cover and me and this guy were exchanging fire, no of his shots hit me, and I luckily got 3 rounds into his chest.
Overall this shotgun tests excellent in the skirmish able aspects, as in durability I do not know much, but it hasn't gone out on me yet. ;D
Some pics.
