Eh, the review is OK. I would research more into what the features on the gun do first though. The "Double trigger" is actually a safety, you can't pull the trigger without pull the first part of it first.

OHhh nifty, yeah I'm planning on doing a more through review of it today comparing against another rifle the UTG m324. I have just discovered some things with the rifle including the tightbore thing as stated above and I will show how to install and I will make sure I get EVERYTHING. Sorry I kind of thought of things to say while recording I should have really planned it out. AND SOME MORE PICTURES! s99.photobucket.com/albums/l318/petersonx/My%20gun/

Didn't know whether to make a a new thread or add to the old but, does anyone know if you can do a teflon upgrade on the UTG MK96? Thanks "Sarge"

Unlikely with the UTG, also, keep in mind the stress that you will be putting on the weapon with that much FPS and the lack of reinforcement that they have. Teflon wont have any affect like it does on the other model by UTG, you'd have to upgrade the spring, and doing so would most likely kill the internals of the gun along with making the risk of breaking your bolt handle greater. If you spent 150 on the gun and can get 450 FPS consistently I would be quite pleased!

ive used this gun and chronoed it at a consistant 460. personally if i had this i would be getting the db custom 6.01mm tb barrel for it and get the extra 12 inchs because the barrel is so short. that would get a stock gun shooting around 500 i bet.

It actually comes with a tightbore installed in it already, the increase wouldn't be THAT much.
And if you upgrade, keep in mind that these parts are clones, they are not the high quality construction of a Maruzen, and the bolt handle WILL snap off.
Don't be expecting 500fps unless you slap in a new spring. And at that point you'll want a new cylinder, as well as a trigger, and most likely a new cylinder head, spring guide, and piston/piston head. The 500fps mark is roughly when the gun starts deteriorating quickly with stock parts.
Not to steer all you "budget snipers" away from it, but, leave the gun stock if you want it to last. Otherwise you will want to upgrade ALL the internals to be safe and have a gun that will function for a fair amount of time.

I had mine for about 3 months and recently at Rolling Thunder, it started preforming really bad. Well it turns out, that I have to replace the hop up and the spring in it.Shot really for those 3 months though

I'm not so sure, I have my 7 year old HFC super-9 shooting about that hot with no notable damage as of yet. Then again, it might be a miracle or related to me welding or epoxying some of the parts instead of using the factory glue. Either way, budget guns aren't terrible.

Then again, it might be a miracle or related to me welding or epoxying some of the parts instead of using the factory glue. Either way, budget guns aren't terrible. Read what I wrote carefully next time.... If you're on a budget, sniping just isn't the role for you. The reason being, you cant just upgrade the spring. Even in the TOP quality snipers, you have to upgrade more than just the spring. All these young kids want to buy 150 dollar guns and get them to 550fps... it just wont happen for that price. Throw in a high powered spring, and it will break VERY shortly. There is just so much stress involved on the internals. Like I stated. If you want to buy a Budget Sniper, keep it stock, or Teflon it. Don't expect a top quality sniper for $150. Anything else will lead to a decreased life span of the gun. If you can manage with a 450 FPS moderately accurate and ranged weapon and not feel gimped. Then by all means do it! But when people are shooting on full auto at 420FPS, I dint see how this is useful. Yes, it's the man behind the rifle, etc, etc. But 2 equally skilled people one with a 500rpm and the other with... 6rounds per minute... both shooting at near the same FPS, who is going to win? My money is on the AEG who strafes and lays down covering fire.
