these guns make good practice guns, but they in no way are alternatives to a proper SWS. They are Mid-grade spring rifles

but, in their defense, most of the parts make decent "oh crap" spare parts. other than that... just no. you cant throw a rolls royce emblem on a kia and call it classy

If you get an upgrade that puts you at the same FPS range as a proper sniper rifle, it would actually be some good practice. Same range, same BB's, same windage, same accuracy (one would hope)

Two things I've been curious about:
1) Is the hop-up issue a common problem?
2) Is the front end of the barrel only supported by blaze orange barrel plug, if you will

1. Hop-up is under the barrel, about mid length of the rifle. you need a Allen wrench to adjust it. Luckily the wrench is included.
2. The orange screws into the front of the gun, without it the barrel is completely exposed as is all the rest of the internal barrel surrounding the barrel. i would not take off the orange unless i have a silencer adapter to plug it.

By anychance do you know what of Suppressor adapter would fit on it?

The 96 I saw from UTG had the orange plastic glued on. There was a cap inside there. You can get the orange plastic off of it.

I just took my knife and seperated the orange from a nice black tip that covers the barrel. The orange tip slips back on/off easy too.
