I was looking at low end sniper rifles and was wondering, what you guys might suggest? $80-100.
Does anyone the difference between the TM VSR-10 ( Real Shock Version ) and the Marui VSR-10 ( Pro-Sniper Version ) ?

Possibly any of the BE L96's, or you could also look at the UTG M324. The new UTG L96 is $138 with free shipping from AirsoftGI with coupon code "freeupsground."(Only use for orders $100 and up).

Dude, you could have asked both of your questions in one thread, and at least done SOME research.

UTG does a good job with sniper rifles. They are nothing compared to a maruzen APS2, or anything but there nice.

I'm a begininning player who probably won't be playing any "real" airsoft in the foreseeable future, is it worth it to spend the extra fifty bucks on a higher end rifle?

the real shock version sucks dude. there is quite a bit of unexpected recoil and that recoil will tear the shit out of any rifle scope you put on it (unless you get one specifically made for air rifles to take the vibrations produced by it). its also got a "wood" colored stock as opposed to the pro sniper which has a synthetic black stock. the pro sniper version also has no recoil, but its easier to accessorize and upgrade from what im told

I just got 12 confirmed kills at Black Aurora 2 with the UTG L-96. The preformance is just awsome. I was getting kills at 200 feet with this. you get every thing you need [Except a scope] for 130-150 bucks. I was outranging guns that had 600+ bucks in upgrades and that so its a really good deal. Just get a good scope that doesnt fog [That was my main problem] Youll like it, the accuracy and the durability is worth the money.

UTG has a great selection of rifles, there AEGS are not so good, but they acually focused on the snipers.

I've decided to go with the UTG Master Sniper (I beleive it's the M-243, correct me if I'm wrong.) It seems to be a great gun for the price. I'll end up upgrading to a new AEG sometime once I get a job, although I probably won't be able to save up enough cash until next summer for my "I Need a cheap reliable gun now!" status, I' happy with this, I've asked a few people what they thought, and most lead me to this... If anybody knows where I can get the best deal w/shipping, etc, lemme know!

There is no such thing as a Sniper rifle in or anywhere close to that price range, the cheapest actual sniper weapon system is the TM VSR series, but to get up to sniper performance level, it will need considerable upgrading and tuning, next lowest is the KJW M700(non-takedown model) which is only ~200 but gas requiring less upgrading, but will be more expensive in the long run.
UTG,BE,etc are not sniper rifles, they are low to mid grade springers.
If you are a newb, then you are not cut out for being a sniper. a sniper is a specialist role needing not only understanding of the general assault gunners skill set but also a high amount of skill in the sniper roles specialised skill set of camoflauge and stalking of a target, not to mention patience.

I understand that, however, I am not a serious airsofter right now. I just play with friends on the weekends. Once I have a job and a drivers liscense, maybe I'll look into getting a good AEG, but for now, I'm just looking for a decent springer for plinking and messing around.

Dont start off being a sniper, it isnt worth the hassel to. I personally use a UTG L-96 [Mid Grade] because A, theres not a lot of people in Adrian with high grade guns that play and why put hundreds of dollar's into a CA or TM to have it shoot around the same as the UTG. Yes I know that CA and TM are a hell of a lot better then UTG but its a nice, decent gun either way. But what is the hardest part in airsoft is patience, if you cant beat staying in one spot for an hour, not moving in the cold, in the rain, or what ever then theres no point in being a sniper. Also camoflauge is hard too. Because once set, you'll have to slowly crawl or walk very very slow if your kneeling. Look into sniping more. Watch sniper documentary films, NOT MOVIES! They always screw something up about snipers. Read books like A Rifleman Went to War by H.W. McBride, Sniper By Adrian Gilbert, Marine Sniper:93 Confirmed Kills By Charles Henderson-These all have information on sniping, camoflauge, stalking, and observation. A Rifleman Went to War is what helped establish modern Sniper Schools in the US. Also if your short on money, being a sniper isnt your thing.

I understand this, but I normally end up playing on a 1 acre peice of land (front and back yard) with games lasting about 5 minutes (depending on what we put rules as) I don't need to be patient, because I'm playing with four people, I can shoot them all in a few seconds if they play bad enough. I'm just looking for something to have fun with that's not going to simply conk out on me. I've gotten a lot of great help from you guys here, so Thanks a lot!
