I have a springer pistol that shoots 320 fps, i really like it but was wondering if i should keep it as a side arm? I have a gas pistol but i hate it. It also dosnt shoot as well. What should i do?

Invest in a decent gas blow back. A springer in an AEG type battle will do you little to no good. With a GBB, you stand a chance. What GBB do you have now and what is your primary weapon?

If you favor the 1911 models, Western Arms is the pinnacle of gbb's, but since you are tight on cash, I would suggest the KJW 1911 para model. Its only about $100. www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=386I would also save up and get a high end aeg. Save up for a Tokyo Marui. They are the gold standard of the aeg world. They may not have the highest stock fps, but the hop-up more than makes up for it giving them incredible range and accuracy. A Marui is a great starting gun and it will never break or crap out on you(if you leave it stock). Heres some links to good dealers in the states: www.trinityairsoft.comwww.airsoftgi.comwww.airsoftextreme.comYou can also order from overseas, but shipping alone will dent the pocketbook. Hope this helped.

No, sadly i have had experience with a springer as a backup. It is not even worth bringing out to a field in my opinion, if the enemy is smart, they will charge you when you are down to your sidearm because even with a semi auto they have a much higher rate of fire and will keep you pinned down. I would at least get a electric pistol, or something cheap but with a higher rate of fire.

The smart/cheap thing to do is what S.O MI-RAG said. and EBB(Electric Blow Back) would be the best-cheap alternative. But if you like a lot of us, we go for realism, so you could go the Gas Blow Back route. It has recoil, noise, and its down right awesome. They better built and its an instant charger... a can...

theres several are a few brands with a lot of models that are good. Look for the Echo 1, A&K, and UTG. There around 150-200$ (most are like 130-150$) You can buy these at a lot of stores. Its always best to support in-state shops. www.reddawnairsoft.comwww.empireairsoft.comand then for in-U.S... Look on the main forum page and look on the far left under the "U.S. Retailer" Catagory

Look around on the forums. Use the search function.
a lot of couple people have A&K and seem to really like them. One of the guys broke his but hell, sh*t happens. Also, Kdogg (Webmaster of empireairsoft.com), owns a Echo1 G36 and says it outshoot a Classic Army (300$+) G36. And thats coming from a man with a Systema PTW ($1000+) M4A1.

The new UTG ak seems to be quite impressive from what I hear. Far better than their last few aeg's. That would be a great starter, as would an echo1. I have no xp with A&K, so I can't say anything there, other than that thos who do own them have mostly good things to say about them. I currently own an echo1 m4, and I'm definately impressed with it. It is on par with my upgraded tm ak. It can definately compete with the big names.
