Well i decided I wanted to go into "sniping" in the "world" of airsoft.
I bought the Tac9 as my first because i only had $175. I went around reading reviews on the gun and looking for an average FPS. Ive gotten from 410-500fps for this wepon. When i shoot it I would say i get about 460-480fps (Chronoed using Coke Can Test}.
Well started reading the "review" of the gun on the forum and decided to post my own thoughts of the gun.
Good Points:
Nice gun. Realistic.
Paint helps absorb light instead of reflecting it.
Metal bolt action.
Consistant accuracy.
Shoots few "zinggers".
Bipod is ammazingly sturdy and adjustable.
Scope is as good as the one on my actual rifle.
The gun was also easy to Zero In.
Bad Points:
There was little to nothing wrong with this gun. But after a few days of handling the gun i found a few.
=Stick Mag=
These mags take along time to reload them. even after messing around with them for awhile i found myself still struggeling to fill them up. They are very confusing. You have to twist a nob to close of the end of the mag were the BBs are fed into the gun and drop them BBs into a side whole on the mag. Then you have to twist it till it opens up the magazine wich sends BBs flying into gun wich causes jamming often.
=Rotary Mag=
Ooohlala my gun fires shells. BUT to do that i have to remove the bronze shell that fires BB with the stick mag. i lose that i cant use the stick mag. and with the rotary mag i have to load the individual shells with 1 BB. and then place ONLY 5 of those sehlls into the rotary mag. PLUS if i lose those shells the rotary mag is useless unless i buy more.
=Bronze Shell=
Must be removed to use rotary mag. Must be placed when using stick mag. Time consuming is what it is. within a 5 days of using my gun a rubber seal on my gun that holds the "round" in the chamber fell off. I almost lost it but it was easily super glued bak in. and when you get a jam u have to completly remove it. and try to unload the BB out of ther without damaging the bronze shell. Its simply a hassle.
IVE TALKD TO OTHERS ABOUT THE RUBBER SEAL AND IT HAS ONLY HAPPND TO 2/26 PPL IVE ASKD SO NO WORRIES WITH THAT.
If i had to give this gun a rating it would be 7/10.
It got so many good points that i just forget about the mags entirely. Infact I manual place a bellet into the bronze shell and it makes me as if im "part of the gun" working with it to funcition perfectly.
Just starting out as a sniper? I suggest you get this gun. Its a good gun @ a decent price.

I do understand that this may be hard to read from me jumping from subject to subject but its 4 in the effing' morning so deal with it?
